19th Century casita & historical little town for the whole family!
-sleeps 6
Relax with the whole family at this peaceful casita. Cerrillos, which means "little hills," was a very historic mining town developed in the 1800's. This home was built about 140 years ago and is on the original site of the first telegraph and printing office. We've done our best to save this home to give you this "going back in time" feeling. You'll love the modern amenities in an Old West town. The space-- Very quaint historic 3 bedroom home with balcony and private yard, lots of trees and nice views. Sleeps 6, full kitchen. Retro, mid-century décor. Modern convenience with the feel. Guest access-- The entire property and whole home (no access to storage shed). Manual securable gates. On-property parking. Other things to note-- In this old West town, we still can view the passenger train traveling through town in the afternoons. With your favorite drink, seated on the patio, you can wave as it passes by, just as people have done in this town for hundreds of years.

Rich is an incredible host! He is kind, welcoming, and genuinely makes you feel right at home, truly a “home away from home” experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated all of his hospitality and local recommendations. The brewery he recommended was fantastic, with amazing pizza, excellent beer, and a fun atmosphere. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with an authentic Old West town vibe, this is absolutely the place to stay. Highly recommend!
If you want to escape the world for a day or two, this place is for you! The host is delightful, and the vintage furnishings fit the 1880 structure beautifully. Enjoy!
Everything was as explained by the host. We enjoyed the stay. The Brewery that host recommended was awesome. If you are looking for an old west town vibe and stay? This is the place. Plan on going back to see more of the local amenities.
Excellent location in Cerrillos, close to State Park hikes, horseback riding and a few miles from Madrid; where the quaint shops and people are amazing! Rich and Sara were beyond excellent hosts and we took their recommendations for eateries and sites; namely the Beer Creek Brewing Company (excellent beer and pizza - highly recommend), The Blackbird Saloon (fresh twists to classic favorites and drinks) and in Madrid, Refinery 14 that has a wonderfully unique breakfast selection. Our stay was awesome, quiet and relaxing - we will be going back!

I have stayed at several 19th century renovated properties and this may be the best. Great history, premium upgrades without losing the charm of the original. The owner gave us a tour and was friendly, knowledgeable and available. AC in every room was so nice. Will book with them again
The keybox was assessable, parking was plentiful. The room were spacious, clean and the bedding clean. The history of the VRBO was very interesting and the town itself is like stepping into the old west. I would highly recommend. It also is 20 minute drive to SanteFe and 5 minute drive to Madrid ( an artistic community). The residents are friendly also.
Awesome views in this very unique rental. It's a rustic home with some modern amenities. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. The house has a balcony on top for a great view of the high desert. The tiny town it's in is charming. There's old style saloons, restaurants and museums. I highly recommend!
