Welcome to the Nininger! A restored 1856 home in the river town of Hastings, MN! You will be just a short stroll from riverside walking paths, coffee shops, and downtown eateries, breweries, and local shops.
As you step inside our home, you'll be greeted by inviting 10 ft ceilings and elegant, modern furnishings. Your stay includes many accommodations such as:

This home is designed with comfort and style in mind. Everything you need to feel at home is supplied. No need to make a last minute run to the store for laundry detergent or shampoo and conditioner, as all is provided for your convenience. Not to mention a well equipped coffee station and throw blankets for a cozy morning near the gas fireplace.

Once used as a hotel and school in the town on Nininger prior to being moved to its current location, this historic home has three units total, all with their own private entrances. This is unit 402 and is entirely yours to enjoy and completely private! You will access your unit using the keypad on the doorhandle using the last 4 digits of your phone number that will be set for your stay specifically

Located just a couple blocks from downtown. Either take the sidewalk straight into downtown and coffee shops, or hop onto the walking path that runs along the train track, past the train station, and along the river.

Getting around
Parking is conveniently located close to unit entrance. Please do not park in front of garage doors. Private entrance is unit 404.

Located a few blocks from HWY 61 for a quick drive to St. Paul and Minneapolis.

We have 2 larger dogs and it is nice to have a place close to walking trails and downtown outside restaurants. Beautiful large apartment and exactly as shown. The stairs were a bit of a surprise but it was fine. Very highly recommend this place and host was very accommodating.

Wonderful historic house in Hastings close to everything. Great parking! Nice yard for dogs fully stocked pantry items only thing missing salt and pepper but not a requirement keurig coffee provided however we did bring our own. Furnishing toweĺs bedding items including storable bed available. All wood floors. 2 things stairs are veet steep if you have small pets consider bringing a gate and the small of a glad plug in was very over whelming we put it in a drawer for our visit. I would definately come back! Thanks to a great host as well.

Everything needed for a perfect stay

This place provides all the comforts and small luxuries that ensure a perfect get away. Immaculate cleanliness, well equipped kitchen, easy to use entertainment/ Wi-Fi, and comfortable bedding. A short walk to the shops of downtown or river walk. Alissa communicated completely our self check in and itinerary. Definitely a hidden gem and would stay again.

Beautiful apartment

The apartment is very lovely in design and structure. Had a living room, stocked kitchen with all the tools, 2 large TV screens and beautiful, quiet bedroom. When we had a little problem with the toilet, the owner was there in 10 minutes to fix it. Very attentive and friendly owners who are available if needed. We enjoyed our visit immensely.

Hastings on 4th Street

The second story apartment was clean and comfortable. The stairs were a surprise, as we did not expect the height of the building. It was difficult carrying the dog and our luggage up and down the stairs. We were happy to rent a place which took pets.

Hastings Haven

Beautiful historic home. Instantly taken back to a more simple time in architectural appearance however all indoor amenities available, in good working order, and modern. Alissa was available and easy to access for any of our first time visit questions. Amazing customer service. Truly grateful to have her a message away. We visited from Texas and we were met with hospitality like no other with most locals (kind and courteous) on both sides of the Mississippi river. A 20min beautiful rural drive to WI University in River Falls. We will be back and hope to be able to stay here again. If in this area this is a MUST stay kinda place!💚🌎

What makes this property unique

My husband and I fell in love with the history and character of this property. It was originally built in 1856 in a boom town that no longer exists called Nininger, Minnesota, which was a few miles up the river from Hastings. The building was then moved to Hastings to be used as a school only to be moved once again to its current location.
