Captain your adventure in Alaska!
Live the Alaskan dream; a house on the water with a private dock. For self guided fishing trips rent our fully equipped boat. For a peaceful retreat take advantage of a water taxi service and relax on island time.
The lodge is located in a calm cove on a beautiful beach with a private fishing pier just a few minutes run from the prime salmon fishing grounds at Mountain Point. Crab pots come with the house to catch Dungeness. Twenty miles to the south Halibut hunters can target numerous pinnacles and rock piles. With Seattle a direct flight from Ketchikan you can fly in and be fishing the same day.
For guests more interested in exploring Ketchikan you can hop across the bay by water taxi and enjoy numerous tours, restaurants, sights and shopping.
The per night rate is for four adults and includes:
Private waterfront accommodation;
Fishing poles and reels for salmon and halibut;
Crab pots and cooker;
Ice and extra large freezer on site;

Salmon and Halibut poles are included in the package but you are responsible for tackle. I have a supply of tackle for sale on site and can help get you rigged up with the right lures for the time you are visiting. Fishing licenses can be purchased in advance on the State of Alaska website or at many stores in town.
There is no time curfew on self guided fishing boats which means you can get the 4am bite.
Fish processing vacuum packing supplies are included in our onsite fish processing room or you can drop your catch at a local processing area if you do not wish to take care of your catch yourself. Rates are $2/pound finished weight and fish will be held and packed for your return trip.
I provide a courtesy pick up upon your arrival in Ketchikan at the airport baggage claim for Alaska Airlines flights 67 and 69 which arrive here respectively at 3.54pm and 7.41pm.
You will receive a complete boat orientation upon arrival and will be asked to sign a release from for liability. I will also go over the fishing in our local area and how to run any of the fishing gear you maybe unfamiliar with.
If this is the first time fishing our waters I recommend taking a fishing charter with a guide to show you the area and how to fish here. Additional guided days are available. Costs are $200 per person with a minimum of four, for four hours. Full day is $400 per person for six to eight hours with a minimum of four persons.
On your departure day, check out is at 10am, I can either drop you at the airport or in town. Alaska Airlines will allow bags to be checked in four hours prior to departure and there is a small ferry you can then take to the town side if you want to spend your last hours visiting town. Alaska Airlines flight 60 leaves at 9.02am.

My home offers a wonderful beach for exploring right outside the front door with excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. Trails lead to remote beaches on the backside of the island. Here you can wander the beach in solitude beach combing or relaxing in peace with a book.
Kim, your host lives in cabin nearby and is available to help with any concerns during your stay. I enjoy sharing the island lifestyle and you are welcome to join in island adventures; beach combing the back side of the island, hiking in the forest and muskeg; towing home a beach log for firewood, splitting and stacking wood for winter or going crabbing for Dungeness Crab.
Concierge services are also available: housekeeping services; daily guiding for fishing.
I look forward to seeing you here!
