Overall, this place suited our needs, but there are some things that I don’t feel are advertised. The ceiling is unfinished, so there was exposed insulation, and while it was high up some of it was beginning to fall. The thermostat was in a portion of the house we had no access to, so anytime we needed to change the temperature we had to reach out to the owner of the property, who “only responds during business hours”. There is no central heating, which in the summer normally wouldn’t be an issue except for the fact that the heater is propane powered like how a gas grill would be, inside of the home. The place was clean enough, with clean counters and sheets, though there were some cobwebs and some of the things in drawers (DVDs or non-food related items) were dirty. We came during a heat wave and experienced a leak in the ceiling due to the AC unit collecting condensation and dripping through the ceiling. The leak was directly over the kitchen stove and countertops, and with the condition of the ceiling in that portion of the home looked like it had been a problem for some time. There were a few things not as advertised, no games or toys like the photos showed (though we did not have young kids so it was not too much of an issue for us) as well as no normal chairs, only barstools and a high-top table or couches. One of the couches, the sectional in the corner, is stained and was hastily covered in a blanket. The projector shown in the images is also non-functional.
