Woderful and cosy cottage!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our second time in this wonderful cottgage.

And for sure we are already looking forward to come again.

There are so many wonderful things: very cosy and quiet, beautiful views from the inside and the garden over the bay and the Sleeping Giant.

Fabulous hikes and beach walks nearby. Thank you very much!

An extraordinary spot in the Gaeltacht

  • 5 of 5

This cottage lies in the heart of the Irish speaking area in West Kerry, with a daily view out the window at the fabled Blasket Island. There are many beautiful views in Ireland, but the scenery in this area is the most beautiful of all, in our opinion anyway! Great walks, marvellous beaches, and liveliness in Dingle when you need some action. It makes for a restful, get away from it all holiday. This cottage has everything you need in it, and the owners are very welcoming and ready to help at anytime. Highly recommended!

Perfect place to fall in love with Ireland.

  • 5 of 5

This cottage was perfect for our month-long stay in Ireland. Surrounded by incredible natural beauty, it was perfect for long walks along the coast. The Dingle Way hiking trails as well as the Wild Atlantic Way trails are very close by. The cottage was cozy and comfortable and had everything we needed, including plenty of books and DVDs. There were several good restaurants/pubs within 10 minute driving time, and an easy walk to the Blasket Island Visitor's Center. Dingle Town was only 20 minutes drive away. You couldn't ask for more charming hosts: Philomena and Sharon were very friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend this cottage and would not hesitate to come here again.

A perfect Irish cottage!

  • 5 of 5

For two weeks in early May 2017, Baile na Ratha was our Irish home. From the minute we drove up to the cottage, we felt like we didn't ever want to leave! So for two weeks we explored the coast - walking miles every day. Visiting our favorite beach (Clogher) as often as possible. Tea and cake at Dunquin Pottery or Louis Mulchahy's or the Blasket Center or Aine's - all neighborhood spots that we visited many times.

The warm welcome and hospitality of our hosts - Philomena, Sharon and Alec was outstanding. We feel we have made friends for life! Many thanks for making this special place available.

There's so much to see and do on the peninsula - so we left some things for our next visit - hopefully in 2018.

Dear Philomena,

thank you for having us there - we greatly enjoyed our stay.

The cottage is an excellent place to be and explore the region. Very well equipped inside with spacious kitchen and cosy fireplace. Ferry to the Great Blasket and access to the coastal hiking trail within walking distance. Easy driving to "Downtown Dingle" for grocery shopping.
