Perfect place to stay!
This lovely cottage is spotless, well-equipped and has every possible comfort. Phil greeted me with a warm welcome and was close-by and always available for answers to questions, or information about the area. The cottage is spacious, has beautiful ocean views, is convenient to walking and cycling trails, and has the most magical feeling. I would stay there again in an instant.
Excellent Cottage and a wonderful host
My husband and I spent a fantastic month in Philomena's cottage (February 24-March 24). We were there for the wild winter storm ('The Beast from the East") and this cottage kept us very cozy with its wonderful peat and wood burning fireplace (and hotwater registers). The cottage is totally equipped, extremely clean and offers gorgeous views, and we highly recommend it to all. There is so much to see on the walks (The Dingle Way and others). Even walking on the roads with stone fences on both sides is a treat.
We enjoyed nearby Dingle for its pubs, wool shops and gourmet grocery store, and also went often to the pub in Ballyferriter for tasty lunches. Tea and a home-made pastry at the Dunquin pottery was also a favorite.
We also owe many thanks to our host, Philomena, and her daughter Sharon for our unbeatable stay in Dunquin. By the way, we plan to return next year for another month.
Our favorite place
This was our second stay at Baile Na Ratha. Last time we were fortunate to stay for several months while this time we stayed for almost three weeks. The only problem with this trip was that it was too short! We have come to love this little cottage that is perched along the Wild Atlantic Way. Even better than that are the friends we've made here that have become dear to us. You won't find a better retreat location nor will you find kinder and friendlier owners. We also never tire of the beauty of the area. It takes your breath away no matter how many times you've seen it. We'll be back as soon as we can!
WOW...what can I say it was a real pleasure to have you back and being your host once again in the beautiful Dunquin and Baile Na Ratha cottage-let it not be your last.
Super stay and host!
The accommodations were top notch and provided everything we needed for a wonderful stay. The views were great! Philomena was a very gracious host. We were sad to leave and wished we had more time in the area.
