My name is Maria. I am an attorney, and my husband is a law professor. We purchased this property so we could have a place close to home to unwind, relax and have fun. We love to travel but with our busy lives it’s difficult to get away for more than a few days. Diamond Beach is the perfect getaway. It doesn’t require a plane ride or a long car drive. We can go for the day or for the week.

Why Maria chose Galveston
There are many reasons why we selected Diamond Beach but the most memorable became apparent after our first visit. I could swear our kids shoes were glued to the floor as they shouted “Mom, Mom don’t take us away! We want to play in the kids’ room and go swimming. We’ll eat our veggies if you let us stay.” After we toured the other 3 luxury properties in Galveston, they had only one question, “When are we going back to Diamond Beach?” The kids still don’t like broccoli, but they love Diamond Beach and we love going as often as we can.

Diamond Beach is a haven from our frenzied lives. Whether you go with your kids, do a girls' weekend, or a romantic getaway, you’ll want to come back again and again. If you live in Houston, it’s as close as a 45 minute drive. Even though you’re so close to home, you’ll feel that you’ve gone to the Caribbean for a vacation with all the amenities and tranquility.
