Beachcomber: Spacious & cozy Las Conchas beachfront w/ endless views of ocean

Beachcomber is a large three bedroom, three bath home with many extras. The master suite faces the ocean and has private patio access, a king bed, decorative fireplace, and private bath with double sink, large shower with benches and two shower heads. The second bedroom, also on the ocean side, has two double beds and a TV/VCR. The third bedroom has a queen bed and is situated next to the second bathroom that has a large walk-in shower. The spacious great room features a fabulous view of the Sea of Cortez, has a wet bar with sink and full size refrigerator, a decorative fireplace, lots of seating, Satellite TV, CD and Wireless internet. An unusual feature of this house is its separate dining room with ample room for all eight guests. Next to the dining room is the kitchen which is fully equipped with all major appliances including a dishwasher, garbage disposal, food preparation island with sink and disposal, coffee maker, blender, microwave, toaster and another eating area. Adjacent to the kitchen is a game room with a TV/VCR. Outside amenities include a very large covered porch with lots of furniture and a charcoal barbeque (bring own charcoal). Above this area is an upper level sun deck, which is accessible from the outside of the house, and it also has furniture. Other comforts include central heat/AC, an outside shower, and fans in all the rooms. Owner requests No Smoking Inside and Pets allowed upon approval, pet fee is $75 USD per pet. Sheets and one set of bath towels are provided.

Everything was perfect

The place is gorgeous! We were loving our stay. Unfortunately we went as they were shutting down the world due to the Coronavirus. The owners are going to credit us the 2 nights we didnā€™t get to stay. We thought the place was perfect and can not wait to go back.

Beachcomber is a huge rental that easily handled our two small families (4 adults and 2 small children). The view was amazing, especially at sunset. The deck above the patio was awesome for viewing the stars.

The good: Great location right on the beach. Set up of the house is good with bar area separate from kitchen. Lots of space to spread out. The upper deck is fantastic at night and made the bad much more bearable.The bad: The house needs some major attention; which is understandable from a beach house in Rocky Point. But have stayed at several houses in Los Conchas, and this one definitely needs a little more attention than others. 2 of the 3 showers did not work. One just leaked the entire time we were there. No hot water throughout the entire house. Patio furniture leaves a lot to be desired. There are several broken tiles on the patio that don't go well with bare feet. Access to the beach looks great, but there is a major drop off from the stairs to the sand. Very rocky beach area. And the worst part is dealing with Oceana Rentals which is who manages the house. After confirming with us that we could check in early, we show up at 12 noon as scheduled and are told that the house won't be ready until at least 3. But good news... "we won't charge you for the early check-in!" And when we were finally able to get into the house, it was obvious that nobody had been there in quite some time. Then during the stay when we tried to call about the showers not working, plus the one that just kept leaking, we were told somebody would be right there. Nobody ever showed up the remaining 2 days we were there. Cannot recommend staying here, largely based on Oceana.

Location was perfect. House needs some love. Faucets not working, roof leak in one bedroom, no hot water, low water pressure. Advertised outdoor shower that didnā€™t work. Refrigerator froze everything even after we turned it down twice. Not major issues, but for the price, would expect better. Got stuck in the driveway after a rain. Good thing I had a truck, if we had the wifeā€™s car, would have need d a tow! In spite of that, we still had a good time. A really great location

Please read the reviews before booking this house. Absolutely the most broken down house we have ever rented in Mexico. This house needs some serious upkeep, there were water pressure issues in the master bathroom shower and the Kitchen sink. The master door wouldnā€™t open to the patio/beach, there are zero cleaning supplies including a broom, mop, washer/dryer etc The dishwasher couldnā€™t be used (no detergent) the Furnature was Disgusting both of the couches need thrown away you could not even sit on them without putting a blanket down first. Our checkin time was about an hour and a half late due to it not being cleaned in time. Out of the three bathrooms the one closest to the kitchen couldnā€™t be used because the shower knob was broken, the guest bathroom had mold growing in it. The pots and pans were old and just abused- the entire kitchen needs a reset with fresh pots, pans and appliances they were all falling apart including the refrigerator, the door would not close properly. The decor was miss matched, dusty and cluttered. I think guest would take better care of your home if you provided supplies to keep it clean especially when someone is staying for a week- they need the basic cleaning necessities specifically a broom. The view and beach access was great.

Ehhh average!! Poor water pressure.

Check in was at 4 pm. Cleaning staff did not leave until 630 pm. Cleaning from whoever stayed prior to our group. Maintenance guy was also there trying to fix the bathroom sink. For more than two hours we did not get our privacy. On a positive noteā€¦. distance from house to beach is short. I also noticed that Rocky Point felt very safe this time around. Police were very laid back non present.

1st time staying here at Beachcomber on Las Conchas, wont be the last. House is exactly as described, lots of room for 8 people. Everything you need in the kitchen is there for food prep. Like the separate wet bar area. Rooms are nice and comfortable. Master bedroom and bath is huge. Water pressure real low in master bath, but it gets the job done. Living room is nice and roomy. Flat screen TV, with a firestick but no remote. Luckily I brought our firestick and we were able to stream. The star of the show is the fully covered patio. We spent most of our time here. The view of the Sea of Cortez is spectacular. There are 3 nice tables with 9 chairs to lounge around in. The steps from the patio then lead you to the beach. Kids had a great time. Bring your swim shoes as there are lots of rocks and going barefoot is not a good idea. Need to have a broom or mop to clean or sweep up the floors. This has also been noted in a previuos review. Also, the water hose in the back is in dire need of replacement. I had some 3M tape to cover the large hole in the hose, was able to use it to wash down the patio from sand. Some recepticles, are loose, and some dont work like the one outside in the patio. Overall, this is place is awesome, it could be fantastic with some TLC. We will be staying here again

There was plenty of room for a family of eight. It would have been alot nicer if the property had a washer and dryer to wash our clothing. We also looked for simple cleaning supplies such as a broom or small vacuum to sweep the sand off the floors. We had to buy soap and towels to wash dishes on a daily basis as we like to keep house clean during our stay. Overall the house is big and beautiful with more than enough room for eight people. Having a garage was also nice, we were able to secure our vehicles during our stay. Overall this property was superb. Maybe next time the property will have basic cleaning essentials to maintain a clean and tidy environment.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we were pleased with the Beachcomber for the cost. It was larger than we thought it would be and overall in pretty good condition. I liked that it was right by the guard shack so it is one of the closest homes in Las Conchas to town. The furniture seems to have been updated recently in the family room, other guests had mentioned that needed to be done. Also, no issues with the water pressure in the showers or hot water issues or dishwater issues. We did have a handful of ants one time but we were prepared with spray and didnā€™t have any more issues. There were only 2 areas that I would caution future renters about. One ā€“ the kitchen did not have ā€˜the basicsā€™ that I normally find when renting in Las Conchas. Not cutting board, cleaning supplies, Tupperware, etc. I did call the office and they brought a broom by ā€“ the rest of the supplies I had to buy on my own which, in my opinion, should be included. The other is the location / beach which obviously the owner has no control over. When the tide anything but high tide, there are a ton of rocks / coral on the beach that are very sharp and makes getting in and out of the water very difficult. We ended up driving further into las conchas (section 12/13) as the beaches there are much safer. All that said, you are still getting a great deal at the given rate.
