We loved our stay at the Powder Mill! It has a quaint, cottage feel with beautiful upgrades, super stylish decor, and every available amenity. This property is listed as pet-friendly, which it certainly is- lots of cute stuff for visiting pups- but no lingering pet smell or fur which was appreciated. Supremely clean and cozy! We got a ton of snow so the skiing was great, driveway and street were plowed frequently. Would LOVE to stay here again, in any season!

Perfect Hallmark Getaway

Loved it will be back!

We only came for a short trip but the house had everything we needed, and it was very close to town. Also convenient to Holiday Valley where the kids are doing the adventure course. Clean and super comfortable bedding, cozy blankets, and a very nice coffee bar. Will definitely be back for a longer stay next time!

Perfect for a family ski trip

This was the perfect house for a quick ski trip with the family. It was close enough to town to walk to the shops. The house was clean and had everything we could need for our trip. The kids loved the back bedroom and our dog like watching for deer in the backyard. We can’t wait to come back.

Ellicotville Rock n Roll Weekend getaway

The Powder Mill was exactly as described in the listing, clean, comfortable and welcoming. We loved the close proximity to town and how the owners provided everything we could possibly need, plus lots of extras. Ellicottville is such a fun place and has a lot to offer. We can’t wait to come back.

Wonderful!

We had a wonderful weekend at the house. I was a perfect winter getaway, The house was very clean and comfy. We loved the proximity to all that Ellicottville offers. Our son enjoyed the video games. It as also great the we were able to bring our dog with us. We will be back.

The place was relaxing and quiet. The perfect getaway for a week and a half. It was a beautiful drive to buffalo which I had to make the trip for. The house had everything you need. If you bring your pet, Kristie ensures you have everything you need to help them feel welcome. The bed was very comfortable. Kristie was super responsive and helpful on anything we needed. There was the occassional train but the house did mute the sound. The house is close to town. The town has many restaurants to visit and a few music spots. The town comes alive on the weekends for certain!

Comfortable and Charming Ski house

Powder Mill did not disappoint! We had a blast over President’s weekend. The home had everything and more! We really appreciated the extra large Brita water filter in the fridge! Powder Mill was exceptionally clean and comfortable. It’s a short walk, on sidewalks, down town! Would definitely stay here again:)

Nice to meet you! I am from Rochester NY and I love to travel for both business and pleasure. Having been a guest at several VRBO's, I thought I would try my hand at hosting. I enjoy meeting people and hearing about their travel adventures. It is fun for my family and I to learn where people are traveling from. We have a map and mark new states with a pin with each reservation. We are always thrilled when we get visitors from far away.

Why they chose this property

The beautiful ski resorts and the quaint town with unique shops and restaurants drew us in; it is a destination I have been visiting since high school. However, after spending more than a weekend in town I have fallen in love with everything Ellicottville has to offer. The great outdoors is right in the backyard and I love all the wild life that comes to visit often. We like to golf, hike, bike and of course, ski! Ellicottville has been the perfect place to explore all of our hobbies. Having said that, the biggest impression has been made by the local residents. We have met wonderful people who are kind and generous, and always willing to lend a helping hand.

What makes this property unique

Our property is the perfect mix of privacy and outdoor space, while also being a quick walk to town. (Ellicottville Brewing Company is one of our favs and it is a 9 min walk!) You get the feel that you are on your own, no foot traffic or noisy cars, but you can still take in gorgeous views of the slopes and even hear the philharmonic during the Fourth of July festivities!

We aim to provide a nostalgic farmhouse feel with all the conveniences expected in lodging today. Each bedroom has a premium mattress and smart TV and the bunk room has a gaming station. A coffee bar; shampoo, conditioner & body wash are all provided along with a boot and glove warming rack. A full kitchen stocked with essentials is available for your use as well.

A deck and fire pit are coming in summer 2024!
