Our unique luxury holiday accommodation situated in the rustic village of Għasri on the Island of Gozo, is perfect for a short or long self-catering break throughout the year. This sublime house of character sleeps up to 10 people spread across 3 floors and 5 comfortable bedrooms all ensuite. Il-Ġarra offers a modern and calm interior design, providing the perfect relaxing base as you choose to take the elevator to unwind at the private rooftop swimming pool or venture out to explore Gozo.
Il-Ġarra, provides a wonderful setting for an extended family break or a holiday with friends who enjoy the finer things in life. Spacious enough to provide quiet and privacy and designed to be a great venue for socialising. Our combination of beds provide two rooms with twin beds and three rooms with double beds with the option of a baby’s crib.

From the modern and well-equipped kitchen and dining area, you enter the roof terrace and swimming pool which can be heated during the cooler months and whilst being the perfect sundeck our automated retractable roof provides much needed shade in the summer months and a cosy canopy during winter.

As you should expect, the accommodation features air-conditioning, TV and WIFI throughout as well as a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, family sized oven and BBQ, as well as other facilities to make your stay comfortable.

The peacefulness of the village must not be overlooked and if you are truly looking for the authentic charm of old Mediterranean, you will feel that you have truly arrived on vacation as you enter Għasri and our home away from home.

Il-Ġarra enjoys an abundance of natural light and so it may well be tempting to stay for the duration of your vacation, however the village is dominated by Ta’ Ġurdan (the Gordan) lighthouse which stand at the top of Ġurdan Hill above the village. The famous lighthouse rises 180 meters above sea level and was inaugurated in 1853. Its beam could be seen up to 50 kilometers away. From the hill around the lighthouse there are marvelous 360 degree views of Gozo – well worth the walk up.

From Għasri Village Square, a road leads to the fabulous valley of Wied l-Għasri. The Wied l-Għasri area is marvelous for country walks and cycling, especially in Winter and Spring. The valley opens onto the sea between high cliffs, and the secluded little inlet here is ideal for swimming, snorkeling and diving.

Less than 3km away is the Island’s Capital, Victoria (Rabat) and is home to some impressive architectural heritage, museums, art galleries, shopping, restaurants, a small but first class cinema and two theatres. In every direction from Il-Ġarra, throughout Gozo, you will find an array of beaches and coves and coastal walks close by. Dwerja, the inland Sea, Ramla Bay, Hondoq, San Blas Beach, Xlendi Bay and Marsalforn are some to name but a few.

No matter what your faith is, you will marvel at the wonderful serenity of Ta’ Pinu, Malta’s national shrine which has almost two thousand individually carved unique sculptures, situated only 1KM away. This Basilica attracts pilgrims from all over the world. It has been a center for devotion for some five hundred years.

The Heated pool is included in the price from October to end of May. Should you require these out of this period please enquire with us a least 1 week before arrival, charges may apply.

Kindly note that price does not includes Malta Eco Tax, payable by all tourists, including locals. €0.50c per person for each night spent on the Maltese Islands,, which has to be paid in cash upon arrival.

Air-condition units for cooling and heating, operated by an electronic coin system (€1 & €2 coins) installed on the property.

- Towels and beach towels per person will be provided and placed on the beds for your convenience as per stay.
