Oasis cottage by the Sea is located in the beautiful Melrose district on Daufuskie Island. As you enter the Melrose community, you will be delighted by all the nature in a park-like setting. Driving down the “Avenue of Oaks” your tree lined journey begins through the canopy of old Oaks, home to our island “Fox squirrels” & wild deer. Slow down to gaze past the great white heron bird Rookery as you follow the Avenue of oaks down to the the Melrose oceanside cottages.
So much wonderful nature abounds here to explore. Renting golf carts is A MUST for exploring our dirt road paths, rich in history with amazing & breathtaking sights. This place is truly an outdoor nature lovers dream!

The kitchen is well stocked with cooking essentials. The living room & both bedrooms have TV/high speed Internet & cable selections.
The two outdoor living areas were designed to be a comfortable way to relax & enjoy the island scenery. The front porch is a favorite with a good ocean view to watch sunrise & sunsets.The back screen room is a perfect spot to curl-up on the comfortable porch swing and watch the birds swoop in over the marsh & see deer wander through. Our Oasis cottage by the sea is a lightly rented & an owner enjoyed property throughout the year. This special home is a treasure we are happy to share with guests & family.
