Charming Windsor Apartment: Easy access to Katy and Rock Island Trails.

Our space is very simple, but functional. We have all the main necessities but provide a dedicated space for you to park a bicycle or small scooter in the laundry room. In addition there is a large amount of kitchen cabinet space along for all the cooking needs you might have. The couple of unique things that make up our space is that it is connected to a facility called Katy Rock Adventures that has 3 Escape Rooms, a 1500sqft Nerf Arena, Cornhole and Axe Throwing as well as a growing selection of board games and puzzles. Also, you can experience the clip clip of the Amish as they pass by or park their buggies at the back Hitch. So please enjoy our quaint little place and don't forget to have some fun too!

We have stayed here 2 different times now and it has always been clean and this is a mini apartment for the same price as a small motel room it has everything you can think of we will be staying again soon

MICE! You can see my other review from June 2026 that the owner claims was debunked. It wasn't! On July 8th at 3am I awoke to 2 mice running through the apartment. I immediately sent a message to the owner via VRBO requesting a refund, so I could leave, as my other pest issues requests had not been addressed. The owner claimed, "nobody else has ever complained, and he hasn't seen any mice". That doesn't change the fact that there were mice that morning in the apartment. VRBO was no help either. They thought I should've stopped panicing and taken pictures of the mice. At 4pm while I was finishing packing to leave (without my refund), another mouse entered the apartment and climbed up on the bed where I was sitting putting clothes in my suitcase. I am 59yrs old and disabled. This was not what I signed up for, nor paid for. And none of the filthy, plumbing issues, bug & rodent issues, nor the musty, moldy stench of the place were disclosed in the listing on VRBO. The owner was absolutely no help. Refused to come to the apartment on July 8th when I complained. In fact, didn't come to the apartment on July 9th either. Just kept saying, "nobody else has complained". I find that very hard to believe after my 6 week experience there. Extremely unsanitary, unsafe, uninhabitable place.

The only response I will make to this is she stayed to for two months and tried to scam us and damaged our property and left it with issues that we have had to repair due to her stay and have charged her for the damages. As previously stated this was all debunked and validated by VRBO and the City. Please review the other reviews left by our other tenants and please disregard this person and also be wary of her if you are renting to her! Thank you

Perfect for Katy Trail

Quiet, private, clean, everything inside worked. We slept great. It was the perfect place to stay for finishing our last 72 miles to Clinton. Very short walk to great restaurants including one of the BEST Chnese we've ever tasted - comparable to a restaurant back home in Chicago's Chinatown. Thank you again for your hospitality!

I do NOT recommend staying at Haven Hitch. I rented it for 2 months and found multiple problems beginning on day 1, that have continued. The most serious issue was the pest infestation. During my stay I dealt with constant bugs inside the apartment, including flies, gnats, spiders, beetles, roaches, moths, lacewings, June bugs, and multiple wasps flying flying inside the unit, including one that flew directly in front of my face while I was sitting in the bed. I had to clean bugs out of the bathtub every day before using it, keep my food and drinks covered while I was eatting, inside the unit, because gnats and flies kept landing on/in them, and repeatedly buy and use my own indoor/outdoor insect spray, wasp spray & rodent bait stations. I also developed multiple bug bites during the stay.The final straw was seeing two mice running across the apartment floor at 3:00 AM. At that point I was afraid to even get off the bed because I didn’t know where they had gone. What made the experience worse was the owner’s overall dismissive and defensive attitude toward the ongoing bug and rodent problem.There were also multiple other issues: hazardous stove burners at check-in, a bathroom sink that still fills immediately when the water is turned on, musty odor/poor air quality, dirty carpet/floors, dryer damage to my bedding, holes in the laundry/closet walls, and exterior clutter/trash behind the building. This property was NOT properly cleaned, repaired, or prepared for guests.

This was all debunked with all the photos we took for documentation and the amount of additional work we put into making sure that there were no pests of any kind as well as any claimed issues were addressed. Every issue that was claim was found unsubstantiated and false. As well as if you look our other reviews and you will see this is not true and we have had nothing but excellent experiences on all platforms at Haven Hitch Hideaways. We did offer an opportunity to allow for the guest to cancel their stay and we would credit back any date that we could rebook Haven Hitch Hideaways and it was declined.
