Baycienda (Bay-see-en-da)- Your hacienda on the bay.

Baycienda is sprawling four-bedroom, three-bath villa on the bay of North Eleuthera, directly across the road from the Atlantic Ocean. The bedrooms are separated from the expansive Great Room by a covered patio as well as a very large open patio. The home has a dock and comes with a 17' foot, center console boat which is included for the duration of your stay for $500. There is also a fresh water spa pool to enjoy. Baycienda is located one mile south of Harbour Island and Historic Dunmore Towne, first settlement and first capitol of the Bahamas. Harbour Island has one of the 10 Best Beaches in the world according to 'Islands' magazine and is only a five minute boat ride away! Enjoy the beauty of Harbour Island without the price tag! Bedrooms totally separate from the living area make this property ideal for large families, parties, or small business conferences. The property is very private, located in secluded whale point, making it ideal for romance as well as quality time. Fishing, spearing, snorkeling, beach picnicking, turtle watching, and stand up paddle boarding are some of the activities you can do from the dock! Our dock can accomodate up to a 42' center console if you are traveling by boat and has 3' of water at low tide.

Your host, Mr. Jones, is a long time property owner in the Bahamas and private pilot who published the Pilots Guide to the Bahamas. He is a fantastic story teller and tour guide for all of the secret spots Eleuthera has to offer! He can direct you anywhere you are interested in going and make a few suggestions. Some of the favorites are the Sapphire Blue Hole, Preachers Cave Beach, and the Hatchet Bay Cave...Eleuthera is full of suprises!

I am a 50 year pilot who published the Pilots Guide to the Bahamas and Carribean and have spent the last 25 years living in Eleuthera. Of all of the islands, Eleuthera was my favorite so I settled here. I am a father and grandfather who is now a local resident. I am originally from Georgia and my children and grandchildren reside in Charleston, South Carolina. This is my piece of paradise that I love to share with guests, all of whom become friends after their stay.

Whale Point is an amazing spot! It is secluded and remote, but with all the access you need to adventure out by boat to Harbour Island or go fishing, diving, or snorkeling.

What makes this property unique

We want to make sure our guests have a full and fun experience and get to explore all that North Eleuthera and closely neighboring Harbour Island have to offer which is why we offer a boat for an additional fee so you can have the freedom to explore! This is a very unique offering that regulars will tell you, you will not find anywhere else. We have an experienced native boat captain who can give you the "lay of the land" and help you plan any boat outing you might enjoy.

Harbour Island is one of the top 10 beaches in the world, but the music stops at 2 am, and the roosters start at 4 am. Baycienda offers seclusion and serenity within a 10 min beautiful boat ride from Harbour Island.

Snorkeling is great right under the dock. There is a small spa pool that is perfect for a dip or for cocktail hour and a small man made beach area for laying out or reading in the hammock.
