About this property

Escape NYC! Prime Beacon Home •Walkable to all! Steps off Train to Main St & DIA

Historic 3-story home charm meets total convenience. Ditch the car & walk everywhere! 8 mins from the MTA train & DIA Beacon, 5 mins to Main Street’s best cafes, shops, galleries and close to all hiking! This 3BR/2BA retreat sleeps 6, features a beautiful garden, sun-soaked interiors, and original hardwood floors. After exploring, retreat to quiet, dark bedrooms with light-blocking curtains. The perfect base for your Hudson Valley getaway!

The Vibe Experience a piece of Beacon history. Our three-story home dates back to 1800s, maintaining its original character with warm hardwood floors and artistic charm. We’ve designed the house to be a "dual-experience" home: the common areas are flooded with natural light for social mornings, while the bedrooms are intentional sanctuaries of rest.

The Layout

Main Floor: A bright living and dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped for home-cooked meals after a day of gallery hopping or hiking.

The Bedrooms: Spread across the upper floors, each of our three bedrooms features light-blocking curtains. Whether you are a light sleeper or just looking to sleep in after a long hike, you’ll appreciate the quiet, "cocoon-like" atmosphere of these rooms.

The Outdoors: A rare find in Beacon, a lush, private garden. It’s the perfect spot for your morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening breeze.

Historic Charm & Modern Comfort While the home is historic, we have curated the space with modern art and comfortable furnishings. Please note that because this is a classic three-story home, there are several flights of stairs, which adds to the vertical charm and provides those "peek-a-boo" views of the Hudson River from the upper levels.

Guest Note The property includes a completely separate garden studio below the main house. This space has its own private entrance and is occupied, ensuring your main house and garden remain your own private sanctuary.

Fantastic location and charming setup

We loved the location - walking distance from the station, DIA Beacon and Main St meant we barely used our car. Our 3 year-old loved the balls and toys in the garden and the house was full of interesting books, instruments and art. It's lovely to stay in someone's home rather than the sterile rental only properties you often find.

Beacon Gem

We loved our three-night stay. Many thoughtful amenities in a charming three-story rental with all sorts of interesting furnishings and decorative touches. Thorough information provided on the town and dining and other options. We took them up on a top dinner recommendation and were not disappointed. Hope to come back, as we have not neatly seen and done all there is to see and do.

We’re a creative family who works in the entertainment industry and chose Beacon for its art, nature, and community. We love sharing this space with guests and take great pride in offering a peaceful, inspiring place to stay.

Why they chose this property

When we first discovered Beacon, we were amazed that a small Hudson Valley town could offer so much, internationally recognized art, incredible hiking, award-winning restaurants, and a direct train to NYC. We chose this neighborhood specifically because it’s walkable to everything that makes Beacon special: DIA Beacon, Main Street, the Hudson River, and Mt. Beacon trails, while still being quiet and surrounded by nature.

What makes this property unique

The convenience of the home’s location, while still being private. The property and home have unique historic charm. NYC tourists do not need a car to enjoy a restful trip upstate. Turn key home, fully equipped kitchen, three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and oversized outdoor space.
