Charming waterfront barndominium located on the beautiful spring-fed Chipola River in Altha, Florida. From its waterfront location to its outdoor amenities and entertainment options, this cabin is perfect for a truly unforgettable vacation experience. Whether you're seeking relaxation, adventure, or a combination of both, this property has it all.

This adorable barndominium has a full bedroom with a queen size bed and a loft with two twin beds. It sits across from a spring fed creek and has the largest sand bar on the river for your enjoyment! Paddle boards and kayaks are located on property for your use.

Explore the Florida Caverns, hike the Garden of Eden or Torreya State Park, or tube down the river from Bear Paw, Chipola Outfitters or Blue Springs. Also the worlds most beautiful beaches are located just over an hour away. Visit Mexico Beach, Port St Joe, Apalachicola or Panama City beach while you visit.

There is no internet or cable, but there are over 100 movies on the property for you to enjoy. Bring a book and relax while you are unplugged from your daily workload and everyday routine.

The home is elevated, so it will require walking up many steps. Please hold on to the rail and assist children and older adults.

The property has a highchair, coffee pot, hair dryer, and extra electric blow-up mattress. The house is located on the water, so swim at your own risk—no lifeguard on duty.

This place is a very charming, we had a wonderful time here. Place is very clean and well stocked. Kids will love the loft that has two twin beds and small chairs overlooking living room.

Life on the river

A truly amazing stay. Saw lots of wildlife on the river, and had a really great time grilling and sipping coffee on on the deck. Would love to stay here again.

Our weekend stay was absolutely perfect! The location on the river couldn’t have been better. We were able to launch our boat and keep it right at the property all weekend, which made going out on the water and returning to the house super convenient. The view was stunning and so relaxing. We only live a few hours away, so this will definitely be a go-to spot for future getaways. Can’t wait to come back!

The family obviously use this property on a regular basis.as the closet and drawers contained all their personal items and the food and freezermuliple scented candles and plug in scents on every room contained their food. We felt like intruders rather than guests. We stayed only one night although we paid for two. It’s definitely not a place to stay if you have allergies as there were

Beautiful and Relaxing

We had to evacuate Clearwater for Hurricane Milton. Somehow this wonderful gem fell into our hands. We were having a hard time finding a pet friendly place to evacuate with our golden retriever. The house was amazing. The view on the river is what we needed to keep our anxiety down worrying about our home. The house had everything we needed. Dawn answered all my 20 plus emails immediately and was so kind. Thank you for providing the peace of mind we needed while we evacuated from the hurricane. Can't wait to come back and enjoy at another less stressful time

LOVE this river cabin!!

This property and cabin is directly on a beautiful little river. I spent most of the time there on the back porch, overlooking the water, and enjoying the peaceful and beautiful scenery, watching the squirrels, and listening to the birds and owls. It was easy to locate. The home and property could not have been any cleaner or accommodating !! It was very comfortable and cozy, compared to generic feels of hotels and other rentals. The one bedroom, bathroom, hallway, and open plan kitchen/dining/great room - exactly like in the photos - are nicely large with lots of natural lighting, and seating. We went up to the gorgeous Jackson Blue Hole spring in Marianna, and also kayaked Ecofina Creek - full of beautiful springs and clear water for almost 7 miles. Both places are around 30 minutes or so from this place. We would stay again and again !!

WOW!!! The hostess with the mostest!! When you arrive to your rental, and it is just like home. The styling of farmhouse is beautiful!! You have everything needed for cooking, cleaning,washing, relaxing etc.. I mean everything! Even extra towels and blankets. So for us that always bring everything with us, with Ms Dawn’s rental you dont have to. I would give 100 star rating if I could. Our week vacation was wonderful! Beagle approved by my service dog. Ms Dawn is the best host! Thank you
