Me and my wife Monica are living in this property from 2005, after 18 months of restoration work. Monica dedicate most of the time taking care of our daughter Viola Pilar and at the house, I’m taking care of the park and the pool.
I'm mountain guide and video-maker, during summer I spend most of the time in the region for the excursions in the Apuans Alps or the Appennino mountains, with trekking, speleologic, canyoning and mountain bike excursions.
At the of the season in Tuscany (late autumn) normally I go in Himalaya region for trekking and mountains expeditions or I travel for making some good videos.

Me and my wife Monica decided to buy this old barn and restore it because it position is wonderful, first of all the property has a great panorama of the valley and the mountains, than the nearby medieval village of Sillico in one of the most beautiful of the area with many active traditions connected to the history and the local food (chestnuts, cheese, porcini mushrooms, farro, etc).
The sunset from here is wonderful with the Apuan Alps skyline, the same mountains at the sunrise are the first to be kisses by the sun light.
The road to Sillico is deep in the chestnuts forest and end 2 km after the village, so it is very quite.
This is a perfect place to relax and feel the nature around but not far from the main village of the valley (Castelnuovo di Garfagnana ), 8 km far.
The sunset from here is wonderful with the Apuan Alps skyline, the same mountains at the sunrise are the first to be kisses by the sun light.
The road to Sillico is deep in the chestnuts forest and end 2 km after the village, so it is very quite.
