Liked: Check-in, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
Off the bat two months in advance, communication with the owner was a bit hard- had to call/text him at number provided after Vrbo messages didn't get any responses. He was responsive on text and accommodating to our needs which was appreciated. Upon arrival though, communication is with his partner/property manager, Amanda, who lives locally and manages the cleaning of this property. The location of this home is great, right next to The New School, and plentiful restaurants and stores, and key subway stops. It's a studio with a nice kitchen, TV, pull out couch, desk, closet, and has an air mattress option. The biggest issue was cleanliness - things were left so dirty all around, towels smelled, big dust bunnies everywhere, dusty vents. Our allergies were acting up even more (also due to spring weather), and falling asleep was difficult due to a 24hr bright light from a nearby window that beams into this unit - some kind of blackout curtain is definitely needed. Laundry is located in the basementand we had been told there was on laundry card for our use, but we had issues with that too. Amanda was quick to respond and turned up to get us a new laundry card and come clean all the dirty things left behind, so that was appreciated that they tried to rectify what they could. But it's evident that communication between the owner and manager isn't too great, and I'm not sure who's checking the property after it's "cleaned" by staff. We'd like to stay again if it can shape up.
Schönes Apartment mit guter Lage mit super Ausstattung.

Your host
Welcome! I'm a lifelong New Yorker who loves sharing everything that makes this city so special. My goal is to provide guests with a comfortable, exceptionally clean apartment in some of Manhattan's most desirable neighborhoods while making the booking and check-in process as easy as possible. I've hosted thousands of guests from around the world and take pride in providing a five-star experience from start to finish. Whether you're visiting for business, sightseeing, or a weekend getaway, I'm always happy to recommend great restaurants, local cafés, hidden neighborhood gems, and the best ways to experience New York like a local. I believe the little details make all the difference, and I work hard to ensure every stay is comfortable, seamless, and memorable. I look forward to hosting you and helping make your visit to New York City an unforgettable one!
Why they chose this property
The West Village is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in New York City. Its tree-lined cobblestone streets, historic brownstones, charming cafés, and relaxed atmosphere make it feel like a small European village tucked inside Manhattan. It's a neighborhood where you can spend the day wandering without an agenda and always discover something new. Within just a few blocks you'll find some of the city's best restaurants, boutique shopping, art galleries, jazz clubs, bakeries, and coffee shops. Washington Square Park, Hudson River Park, the High Line, SoHo, Chelsea, and the Meatpacking District are all within walking distance, giving you endless options for dining, entertainment, and sightseeing. What I enjoy most is that the West Village has the perfect balance of energy and tranquility. You can experience everything New York City has to offer, then return to peaceful, quiet streets that feel worlds away from the crowds. It's truly one of the most special places to stay in Manhattan.
What makes this property unique
What makes this apartment truly special is its combination of location, comfort, and authentic West Village charm. Tucked away on a quiet, tree-lined cobblestone street, it offers a peaceful retreat while placing you just steps from some of New York City's best restaurants, cafés, boutique shopping, and cultural attractions. Unlike many Manhattan studios, the apartment feels bright, open, and inviting thanks to its high ceilings, oversized windows, and abundant natural light. It's thoughtfully furnished with comfort in mind, providing everything you need whether you're staying for a weekend, a business trip, or a longer visit. I take great pride in maintaining the apartment to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. Every detail is carefully considered so guests can relax the moment they arrive. Combined with responsive communication and an unbeatable West Village location, this apartment offers an experience that keeps many guests coming back year after year.
