2 bedrooms, 2 baths, 2 living areas -- as close as you can get to the beach

We built Casa Oasis because we fell in love with Troncones. Yes, it sounds a bit corny, but wait til you see the place and meet the people. You'll understand what we mean.
Franca purchased this Apartment in 2009
Why Franca chose Troncones
Location, location, location. We found the perfect balance right on this spot. (Well, first we fell in love with the best swimming beach in town, and then we got lucky and found a property right in front of it.) At the quiet end of Troncones' only purely residential sandy beach, right before the rocks begin, Casa Oasis offers a ton of privacy and (as we said) the best sandy swimming beach*, perfect for boogie boarding (and surfing, if you're good — the break is too shallow for beginners.) And yet, since we're only about a mile from the village, we're far closer to shops and restaurants than the many rentals further North. * Occasionally (usually in deep summer), the waves get huge and can take the sand away, uncovering rocks in places on the ocean's edge. But most of the time, it's smooth sand all the way out.
What makes this Apartment unique
We built Casa Oasis as close to the ocean as the law would allow. (Most Troncones properties are built towards the back of their properties, but we wanted a full-on beach experience, and the views that come with it.) And, as we mentioned above, Casa Oasis is located on a very sweet spot. At the end of Troncones only purely residential sandy beach, right before the rocky coves begin, it's so quiet all one hears is nature. We also have a variety of oceanscapes to choose from for our long beach walks, and (best of all) the best sandy swimming hole in town right out front (Why we built here on this spot the first blissful times spent lolling in the water out front before we decided to buy.)

Beautiful beach home w/ ocean views
This property is situated beach front within steps of the ocean. The beach was practically private with the occasional people walking past in the morning or near sunset. The fans in the house work well and there’s also a great cross breeze from the front screen door through to the patio doors. The beds were comfortable and nicely sized. The pool is small but great if you want to sit and cool off. It’s colder than the ocean. We enjoyed a game of Sorry which was on the shelf along a few other games and plenty of books. Keeping in mind that Troncones is a natural and wild place there are bound to be mosquitoes, crabs, insects, etc that make their way into the house, but the screens on the windows and rubber under the doors does minimize that. The house is just far enough away from town center that you can enjoy peace and quiet but close enough for a walk/bike/taxi down the way to the restaurants. Overall we had a great experience and would stay here again. Oh if you plan on cooking don’t forget to bring oil. There is however a large array of vinegar, salt, and pepper.
Beautiful house in a beautiful place.
We positively loved our stay at Casa Oasis. The house is beautiful and the staff is attentive, friendly, and helpful. The beach access could not be closer. We loved the small on-site pool. The walk to restaurants is under 30 minutes - we had a car, but would definitely have rented bikes for those times when you don't want to walk. The kitchen was well equipped for regular cooking. Even when the other rental units are occupied the property feels spacious and (mostly) private. Look forward to our next visit!
We literally could not think of one thing to improve our stay! Maybe a puppy 🐶!
The house is comfy! Location amazing! And Karina made sure we had everything we needed! We didn’t want to leave.
Had a great time! Troncones is an awesome little beach town with lots of restaurants and good surf!
The owner was really helpful and the place worked great for us. Enjoyed everything about it!
The property was all we had hoped for, beautiful, well-maintained, and just close enough to town to visit on bikes but far enough out for quiet and privacy.
Thank you to Franca for all your help and professionalism.
Activities abound in and around Troncones. Whether you’re on a girlfriend getaway, romantic getaway, honeymooon, surf safari or a family beach vacation, you’ll find tons to do here.
GET ON THE BEACH!
Our three-mile stretch of nearly empty white sand beach is a paradise for surfing, body surfing, boogie boarding, stand up paddle boarding, etc. Take surf lessons on Troncones beach and/or tackle one of the many nearby surf breaks, including Saladita, a.k.a. “The Wave Machine” (a great spot for beginners and long boarders) and The Ranch.
Majahua, our nearby fishing village offers boat rentals for surfing or fishing. Sport fishing excursions are also available. Surfboards and stand up paddle boards can be rented in Troncones and Majahua.
Plenty of fun to be had out of the water, as well. Go horseback riding or running on our crowd-free beach. Play beach volleyball or frisbee ’til the whales come home. Or, ride a bike into town for an ice cream, or into the countryside for some fresh mangoes (if they’re in season).
Many Troncones vacation rentals loan out bikes. Or, you can rent a bike or a scooter in town.
GREEN VACATION PARADISE
Your perfect eco vacationTroncones is a tiny town surrounded by nature. With very little developed land, an unpaved main road, and few buildings over two stories tall, this place is all about Nature. Apart from the pristine beach, Troncones boasts lush tropical forests, mangrove sanctuaries, rivers, and lagoons.
Watch iguanas sunbathe on palm trees from local restaurants, help release baby sea turtles at sunset, see and hear hundreds of species of tropical birds—all from your hammock. Or, get out and about and see even more — with activities like hiking, spelunking, bird-watching, and lagoon and river kayaking.
Costa Nativa, our local ecotour company, provide daily excursions complete with waterfalls, lagoons, rivers, caves and splendid bird and animal life.
THE IMPORTANCE OF DOING NOTHING
Or if you’d rather just chill out and recharge your batteries, perhaps you need to lay on the beach and work on your tan, while sipping a cold beer? And when you get too hot, make a splash in the clean, clear Pacific ocean. If you’re after the ultimate relaxing beach vacation, don’t forget about quality hammock time under swaying palm trees, tide pool exploration, and long sunset walks.
Troncones also offers daily yoga, meditation, and chi gong classes?all with a stunning ocean view.
DAYTRIPS TO THE 'BIG CITY'
Nearby Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo serve up a cornucopia of more urban entertainments -- shopping, restaurants, nightclubs, movie theatres, amusement parks, dolphinariums, etc. -- even miniature golf, Magic World adventure park, and “Flintstones Land” for the kiddies. In Zihuatanejo, you can participate in activities such as paintball, parasailing, jet skis and more.
*ATMs and Hospital are only 15 minutes away, by car in the city.
