I have hesitated writing this review because I loved the house, and I would probably rent it again, but there were things that my husband wasn't crazy about, and some could be easily fixed - so it's only fair to point those out. We loved the location (3 blocks to the beach),and the fact that it had a dedicated beach access. The house was clean with cute decor, and the furniture was slip-covered which was great if you have a dog. It had several good size TVs, the bed in the master was comfortable, and the back yard landscaping was very pretty. The covered front porch was nice too, but the switch to turn on the string lights was so high we couldn't reach it (my husband is 5'11").The pool was a good size and sparkling clean, but it can't be heated (knew that on the front end), so the water was really cold in late April (temps mid 70s). It would be great for warmer months.The kitchen was well stocked, but the fridge was too big for the space it was in, so you could not open the French doors all the way which made it difficult getting things in and out. The chairs at the big table were way too low. A normal sized person could not eat there comfortably in those chairs. There were notes in the bathrooms about being careful what you flush because the house uses a septic tank (really? in 2021?),and you are responsible for any plumbing problems. We had none, but it was concerning.As with most older houses, the AC was OK, but the thermostat won't go below 68. The living areas were cool, but the bedrooms could be cooler - even with the ceiling fans. The water pressure was a little low, and it would be easy to update the showers with modern hand held shower heads. The master bath shower curtain needs to be cleaned or replaced.If you want a really cute cottage in a great location, it's perfect, but if you're picky about modern conveniences, this might not be the best choice.
