Beautiful, cozy home. The host provided plenty of information for our stay, the house had everything we needed, and was very clean when we arrived. Would absolutely stay here again.
Great little girls getaway. Incredibly clean and nice property! Can’t beat lakefront Lake Michigan. Neighborhood permanent residents were welcoming & kind. Would stay again!
Fabulous location, location, location! On the lake! Even while cooking in the modern kitchen, I could see, hear, and feel the lake. Lovely, uncluttered, comfortable, and clean space. Definitely stop by JW Wells State Park. It’s a half mile away and has a pristine beach and gentle hikes

We're so glad you had a great time and would love for you to stay again!
The house was spotless when we arrived. Unlike many VRBO properties the house had all matching quality pots and pans dishes silverware and anything else you need in a kitchen not garage sale miss match whatever. Perfectly white blankets and bedsheets. The beachfront location was perfect with a grassy yard and sandy beach. The only complaint is no grill. Hope to stay there again
The view was breathtaking and the beach house was perfect for our family of 5. The house was clean, organized, and well stocked with all the amenities needed. We relaxed and walked up and down the beach collecting rocks and sea glass. We also enjoyed a fish fry at the little bar/restaurant just down the road. We definitely want to come back in the summer!
We deceided to take a kinda last minute trip to Cedar River, which we love, and this one happened to be open the three days we wanted. This is a great space right on the water with an open kitchen, dining and living space, which was great for hanging out even when we had downpours. There were four bedrooms upstairs which we very roomy, and would be perfect for a bigger family. As is typical with the area, there is not cable or internet, so we drove up to Escanaba and got some DVDs at the Goodwill, picked up a pizza and had a perfect birthday! (We left the movies at the cabin for the next family to enjoy!), When the sun finally came out and the rain stopped, me and the pups spent a beautiful morning in the water which is literally steps away. We would absolutely recommend this place, and we will look up this gorgeous place next time we want to take our trip up to this coast!
It is a beautiful place but one of the sofas was broke could not use all week. We used the ac the first night and then the rest of the week it was broke. We was confused about the day we was to leave i thought i got it untill the 27th and she said we had to be out on the 27th we were like ok sorry for the confusion and we even though 8 hours away we hurried up and get everything packed and in car headed home they camr at 12 i guess ti clean and didnt say anything to us and then came agian at 4 and finally said something and thats when we figured out we had the wrong date and with no ac and a broken sofa we couldnt use and i kept the place clean and tight and she wants to charge me extra cleaning fee and late check out when nothing was said to us earlier it was not until 4 or 5 something was said and as far as we knew we still have and was leaving sat morning at 6am but as soon as we got everything figured we packed up fast and left headed back at 630pm Friday

We came by as soon as you told us the HVAC downstairs was not working. We weren't able to fix it so let you know we'd have to schedule a repair person and let us know if it was getting too hot without it (all bdrm units still worked). We didn't hear from you again so we didn't know it was an issue. You told us about the couch being broken the day after you left.
We tried being kind thinking you were running behind checking out, so didn't say anything the first time the cleaner came by. Then 6 hours after check out, you were still there. It took nearly an hour to contact you, we had to involve VRBO. You said you would leave at 6am. I said okay because the cleaner already left again. I said I'd send the fee for the extra night and expedited cleaning. The extra night was same rate as your other nights. The extra cleaning charge was for cleaner rearranging their schedule to accommodate and get an extra person to help clean after 8 guests and 2 dogs for a week. We purposely leave a day between reservations for thorough cleaning. That's when you said you would leave right away instead. I said I'd reduce the charge to a late check out (less than half the nightly fee) and reduce the expedited cleaning fee. The cleaner arrived the next day to find the couch broken, a few dishes broken, several areas of dog urination and feces in the bedrooms that you didn't attempt to clean, as well as several bed sheets stained with bodily fluids.
