The parking situation is a little wonky so we ended up parking in a garage a few blocks away. With the 24 hour gas station next door it’s a touch sketchy but I think that’s to be expected in a large urban area. Also you can hear a lot of the outside from the bed but again, it’s a crowded city area so it’s to be expected imo.Overall for the price it was a good stay, 5 minute walk to vine street and the apartment itself is nice. Host had snacks and various other things which was nice.
I need all traveling females to know that this apartment is sandwiched between a homeless shelter & the food bank. Directly across the street is a Shell station that we never saw anyone actually use, other than for the homeless to congregate and sell certain “items.” To be upfront, we didn’t step foot into the apartment, because when we arrived around 6pm, the property was surrounded by a large homeless population. One man yelled at us several times, “come here!” and ended up chasing us as he continued to yell. It feels extremely unsafe and it made us feel extremely uncomfortable approaching the property by ourselves. We ultimately decided to skip this property and go to a local hotel instead. Further, the listing states that it is located in downtown Cincinnati which is not entirely accurate. It’s located directly across Liberty Street which, as we were told by locals, separates downtown from the large homeless population. Lastly, while downtown Cincinnati has a homeless presence, we never once felt unsafe walking back & forth to our hotel. Downtown has a population of people moving with a purpose with shops, restaurants, and normal downtown activity. This apartment area only has the homeless population- there are no shops or surrounding restaurants that attract the normal downtown life. We did contact the host and asked for a refund based on the property listing inaccuracy, but she refused.

Thank you for your feedback. We respectfully disagree with several statements made in this review.
Most importantly, the claim that a guest was chased by an individual near the property is not supported by any evidence. We take guest safety very seriously and reviewed the available security footage from the time of the reported incident. We did not observe any event matching the description provided in this review.
Our property is located in downtown Cincinnati, and like many urban areas, there are individuals from all walks of life in the surrounding neighborhood. The presence of a homeless shelter several blocks away does not mean guests are unsafe, and we have successfully hosted many solo travelers, families, and business guests without incident.
The guest chose not to enter the apartment and therefore did not experience the accommodations, amenities, cleanliness, or overall stay. We understand that every traveler has different comfort levels when staying in a downtown environment, but we believe future guests should know that this review reflects the guest’s perception of the surrounding area rather than an actual stay at the property.
We remain committed to being transparent about our downtown location and to providing a safe, clean, and comfortable experience for our guests.

Overall initial observation was good but then quickly discovered it was on the third floor which was not stated in the description. It made it difficult for my elderly parents. There was missing flatware and had to use a spoon to butter their toast as there were no knives. The bed was also missing a top sheet so you were left with just a blanket on top. I found that to be very unsanitary as blankets are not washed regularly. The overall cleanliness was “ok” but missing dishes and flatware made it problematic. I will say the host was very gracious and polite. He apologized for the deficiencies which was nice but then asked us to call his person and talk to them. I found that very odd and unusual. Needless to say that conversation didn’t go well and was met with minimizing and justifying the issues. Honestly that was the Hosts responsibility and hopefully he will follow up and ensure this doesn’t occur again.
