Terrible experience…..no working AC and no solution to fix forcing us to have to find new accommodations on a holiday and graduation weekend. We ended up paying almost double due to most places being booked or having higher rates due to the holiday. The owner was out of town and they refused to authorize fixing the AC. When we arrived the house was 77 degrees and the AC outage had been known for at least a few days per the neighbor (the neighbor was there putting in a new washer into our rental when we arrived). We ask for fans or portable AC and neither were supplied. On top of the air issue the king mattresses are terrible. The are very thin and just 2 twins pushed together. The single bed with a trundle that is advertised is no longer there and was replaced by a small sleep sofa with what can only be described as a box spring type mattress. Is was usable making my mom have to sleep scrunched up on the small couch. The bar stool by the island was so wobbly that had we tired to someone would have gotten very hurt. The upstairs bathroom and paint peeling away an above the shower. The photos also make the yard look much larger than it actually is. Also several rooms didn’t have working lights. Overall a terrible experience and there are many better options in that price range. Worst part was having to suffer through a miserable night because the AC person didn’t get done figuring out the issue until after 10pm. We ended up in a hotel rather than a house

We are disappointed by this review because it contains multiple factual inaccuracies and does not fairly represent the events that occurred during the stay.
The home was cooling upon arrival. When an HVAC issue later developed, we responded immediately and had a licensed HVAC technician at the property within approximately one hour. We remained in communication throughout the process and worked to resolve the issue during a holiday weekend when service availability and replacement options were limited.
When the guests ultimately chose to depart early, we provided a refund for the unused portion of their stay despite being unable to rebook those dates on a holiday weekend.
We also strongly disagree with several other statements made in this review. The listing accurately represents the property's sleeping arrangements and amenities. The trundle beds referenced in the review are present in the home, the sleeper sofa is present in the home, and the property's layout and accommodations are accurately reflected in both the listing description and photographs.
Several additional complaints referenced in this review were either never reported during the stay or were raised only after refund discussions began. As a result, we do not believe the review provides an accurate or complete account of the circumstances.
We understand the frustration that an unexpected HVAC issue can cause. However, we stand by our response, our communication, our efforts to resolve the problem, and the refund that was provided to the guest.

Heat didn’t work properly. The house wasn’t warm the entire stay. Furniture was outdated. One of the barstools need to be replaced because it was wobbly so we could sit on it. The mattresses were hard and uncomfortable in all rooms. The 5th bedroom could only be used as a playroom for my 2 grandchildren. No adult could sleep on those little couches since they were so low to the floor. I had to purchase an air mattress for one person in my party. Technicians had to be sent out to check the heat and the washing machine
The house and location were great. The kitchen was full of useful items. The primary reason for not rating this property more stars came down to the bed situation. The property has 4 bedrooms and a study with a pull-out sofa. One of the bedrooms is like an attic space bedroom with a low ceiling suited for younger children. The main issue is that the mattress for the pull-out in the study and the trundle mattresses in the kids room (small attic space) were basically unusable. The mattresses were old and very uncomfortable such that you could feel the springs poking through into your back. We were not able to utilize these spaces for sleeping, which effectively turned the house into a 3 bedroom with couches. One of my kids ended up sleeping on a blow up mattress we purchased at Wal-Mart. Basically stated, until the pull out in the study and the trundle mattresses in the kids bedroom are replaced, this house is accommodating as a 3 bedroom that can "comfortably" sleep 1 family of 4 or 5.Additional note: the outside grill was unusable. It did not have a propane bottle or grill grates to cook on. I was going to cook on it and pulled it out and realized I wouldn't be able to.
The keypad didn’t work when we arrived and owner took quite a while to respond. The property is well used and needs a little maintenance. Kitchen drawer broken and bathroom cabinets missing fronts. Only had 6 towels for 5 visitors. All other VRBOs I’ve stayed in had extra towels, soap, shampoo and blow dryer. This one had none of those. I had to do laundry everyday. TV in kids playroom has no remote so it was useless and game room had no TV. I would stay here again but would know to bring EVERYTHING you need at home as absolutely nothing is provided. It would help if instructions for TV and thermostat were provided.
