About Sally Howard

I purchased 304 when the owner told me he was going to sell. I'd been visiting Santa Fe for about 3 years and always stayed in 304. It took me seconds to make the decision.

I typically drive to Santa Fe once a year around April/May and spend a month and then in either Sept/Oct or Christmas I'll fly down for a shorter visit. I cannot imagine just visiting once - there is so much to see and do. One of my best times was when I walked from Alameda and St. Francis through neighborhoods and the city taking pictures of Santa Fe 'art'...doors, gates, fences, mailboxes. It's amazing how art permeates every inch of Santa Fe. Don't miss the overpasses and retaining walls on Highway 84/285 going North.

I live in Boise, Id, most of the time, and moved in 1970 from St. Louis. It became home the minute I arrived. When I'm asked 'where did you grow up' and standard reply is 'I grew up in Boise and moved there when I was 30'. It's so true! Santa Fe and Boise are oddly similar in weather and convenience. Boise also has a ski area 16 miles away and great outdoor activities. I recommend visiting Boise too.

Why Sally Howard chose New Mexico

It's home, it's comfortable and it's convenient! DeVargas Mall is just across the highway has everything you need - grocery store, Hastings, great Pizza shop, movie theater, dress shops, drug store, excellent restaurants, etc. Taos, Opera and Tesuque are just north.

I've made it 304 home and hope you'll feel the same. If there is something more that you think it needs just let me know.

What makes this condo unique

My favorite thing about 304 is the balcony and the view. I have seen more rainbows from the balcony in Santa Fe then all of the rest of my life combined. The cloud formations that pass over are truly amazing. Oddly, I like the original wood furniture (dining table, coffee table). I'm comfortable putting my feet on the coffee table. I've taken the old dining room chairs and put them on the balcony for extra seating.

Made a great home base for all our activities.

  • 5 of 5

I visit Santa Fe every year, normally camping by myself, but this year my husband and in-laws wanted to join in on the fun,! This 3rd floor condo was very comfy and quiet! It was great to have an elevator on the property to help with getting our luggage to the unit. We had a great stay and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This condo is very well maintained and the two baths have been remolded beautifully. The condo was well appointed with everything one would need for any length of stay. It was great being so close to the plaza so when my in-laws became tired, it was just a quick drive to take them back.

Owner's Response: I think the location is the number one thing people like about my Santa Fe home. It really is convenient to almost anywhere you want to go. I'm happy to hear you also found it comfortable. I love my newly remodeled bathrooms (and kitchen). Please return, as there is always more to see.

Warm and quiet and comfortable.

So convenient to our kids on 2nd floor. Fully furnished, warm and comfortable. Will definitely consider returning. We enjoyed staying here versus a hotel, just like being at home. This condo is fully furnished, a beautiful view of downtown Santa Fe and the mountains. We definitely recommend this condo.

Great Condo and Great Location

  • 5 of 5

This is a clean and comfortable 3rd floor condo. And there's an elevator to get you up there. It won't take you long to feel right at home. We didn't want to leave. Everyone everywhere we went was very friendly. There's a Sprouts and an Albertsons close by in the Vargas mall . Be sure to check out the Love Yourself Cafe around the corner from Sprouts. We had an individual pizza that was really good. When you go to the Plaza there's underground parking on Federal between Washington and Grant. There's a free shuttle that runs between the Plaza and the Railyard all day. The Saturday farmers market is awesome. All kinds of great food. Lots of great hikes along Artist Rd ( look for the trailhead parking areas ) which takes you up to the ski basin. There are trail maps at all the trailheads ( take a picture for reference ) and there's a hiking book at the condo. Highly recommend the Norski Ski Loop just below the ski basin. Very little elevation gain. Also, the 150/Borrego loop trail ( go counterclockwise ). Everything is just minutes from the condo. Before you leave home go to AAA and get a map of New Mexico with a street map of Santa Fe. The visitors center map isn't as detailed.

Owner's Response: Thank you for all the great information. I didn't know about the cafe or the underground parking. I'll check them both out in just a few days. Please come back soon. I know you'll find even more to see and do.
