About Sally Howard

I purchased 304 when the owner told me he was going to sell. I'd been visiting Santa Fe for about 3 years and always stayed in 304. It took me seconds to make the decision.

I typically drive to Santa Fe once a year around April/May and spend a month and then in either Sept/Oct or Christmas I'll fly down for a shorter visit. I cannot imagine just visiting once - there is so much to see and do. One of my best times was when I walked from Alameda and St. Francis through neighborhoods and the city taking pictures of Santa Fe 'art'...doors, gates, fences, mailboxes. It's amazing how art permeates every inch of Santa Fe. Don't miss the overpasses and retaining walls on Highway 84/285 going North.

I live in Boise, Id, most of the time, and moved in 1970 from St. Louis. It became home the minute I arrived. When I'm asked 'where did you grow up' and standard reply is 'I grew up in Boise and moved there when I was 30'. It's so true! Santa Fe and Boise are oddly similar in weather and convenience. Boise also has a ski area 16 miles away and great outdoor activities. I recommend visiting Boise too.

Why Sally Howard chose Santa Fe

It's home, it's comfortable and it's convenient! DeVargas Mall is just across the highway has everything you need - grocery store, Hastings, great Pizza shop, movie theater, dress shops, drug store, excellent restaurants, etc. Taos, Opera and Tesuque are just north.

I've made it 304 home and hope you'll feel the same. If there is something more that you think it needs just let me know.

What makes this condo unique

My favorite thing about 304 is the balcony and the view. I have seen more rainbows from the balcony in Santa Fe then all of the rest of my life combined. The cloud formations that pass over are truly amazing. Oddly, I like the original wood furniture (dining table, coffee table). I'm comfortable putting my feet on the coffee table. I've taken the old dining room chairs and put them on the balcony for extra seating.

Owner's Response: Thank you. I'm in the condo now after a year long absence. I'm now in the process of turning the hall closet into a storage closet, mainly for kitchen and bathroom supplies. Additionally I've found that items left behind are usually coats left in that closet. It is so beautiful here right now., the trees are bright yellow.

Wonderful lodging

  • 5 of 5

Amazing property close to the plaza, the Railyard. and other highly frequented areas, but enough out of the way to be a bit more peaceful. Lovely view from the balcony, where my daughter and I spent a lot of our time while at "home." Kitchen covered all the basics, making it easy for us to prepare a few meals to save a bit of money (and calories). Thank you for a lovely, well maintained, and well thought out place to stay.

Owner's Response: Once again location wins. It really couldn't be more convenient to almost anywhere you want to go plus the bonus of having "everyday" shopping nearby. I'm so anxious to get back - it's been too long. I try to keep the kitchen well stocked. Although Santa Fe has wonderful restaurants it is still nice to fix a home cooked meal. When they designed the condo they certainly made the best use of every inch.

Wonderful! Lovely condo, great amenities, and it's close to everything.

This is a wonderful little condo. We were thrilled to be able to bring our dog. It's super close to Downtown and I even found some roads/trails/arroyos to run in on the hills to the north of the condo. I'd say that the only downside was having a busy road out the back porch but it was only pretty noisy on business days in the morning and afternoon. Thank you Sally for a great stay in Santa Fe.

Owner's Response: There are many, many trails all over Santa Fe. It's fun to explore outside the city core. I agree there is traffic noise when you're sitting on the balcony, but the view does help compensate. More to see, more to do, come back soon!

Great condo, close to everything. We were able to walk to the plaza with two kids, no problem. The condo was well equipped and spacious. We will definitely recommend it to family and friends!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. Clean and cozy is such a nice way to describe my Santa Fe home and it makes me so anxious to get back there. I love that you and the kids walked to the Plaza. There really is a lot to see on the way that you'd miss just driving by. Come Back! There is a lot more to see in the Santa Fe area.

Very nice property and super location. Would not hesitate to stay again or recommend to family and friends. Nicely stocked and attention to detail is very apparent. Makes for a great vacation hide away.

Owner's Response: Every time I read a wonderful review I want to hop on a plane and get back there! Thank you for appreciating my Santa Fe home. I try to make it comfortable for me and my guests. I'm sure I will be doing quite a bit of "stocking" when I'm there in November. Come back soon and remind me you're a returning guest!

Wonderful In Every Way

  • 5 of 5

This was our second time staying in this lovely condo. We love having morning coffee and evening wine on the balcony. We visited our two favorite breakfast places which are Clafoutis and New York Deli and found a wonderful new place for lunch on Canyon Road ---The Teahouse. This condo is clean, has everything you need, location is perfect and working with Sally is a breeze. We love everything about this beautiful place.

Owner's Response: I love my returning travelers! Thank you so much. Isn't it sad that Clafoutis moved. Fortunately, it is so good that it is worth the drive. I also go to the New York Deli and love their Vanilla Latta. I'm anxious to checkout the Teahouse. It must be new?! I'm hoping it will still be warm enough to enjoy the balcony when I finally get their the end of October. Come back soon.
