Neat little spot!

This is a great little get away. A 5 minute walk from downtown. Comfy and cozy. The kitchen has most of what you need. The washer and dryer work great. The bed was really comfortable. The cabin is kind of in a state of it’s sort of...rustic I guess. If your looking for something with granite counters and high end furniture then it’s probably not the place for you. If you’re looking for a place you can just kick back, relax, enjoy a fire and catch up on a good book, this is the place for you. The furniture isn’t new, but it’s comfortable. The stairs aren’t finished, but they get you to the loft. There is a great tv in the bedroom, but for some reason it’s not hooked up to cable like the living room is. You get the picture...a couple of other things...Be ready to chop wood if you want a fire. Expect to do a little shoveling to get to the wood pile. If you don’t mind those kinds of things you can really enjoy yourself here like we did.

Had a wonderful time here. It was definitely a home away from home. Very cozy to come home to after a long day playing in the snow. Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay over Thanksgiving. We had everything we needed. Only complaint is it could have been cleaner, lots of cobwebs and floor wasn't very clean. However the location was perfect and we really enjoyed our stay. We will be back!!

Comfy cabin

  • 4 of 5

My family stayed in this cabin for the weekend of my daughter's birthday. Although it rained one of the days and the temperature took a big drop, we were warm and comfortable indoors. Once it stopped raining, we took a short 5 minute walk into town and had the pleasure of shopping the local farmer's market. The cabin came with all the amenities we needed for our stay. The kitchen was well-stocked with pot, pans, utensils, mixing bowls, spices, etc. The "junk drawer" had items we needed such as scissors and tape. The bathrooms were stocked with plenty of toiletries and towels. The beds and sleeper futon allowed for restful nights. Our kids had fun in the backyard "hiking" and gathering a few apples from the trees. The loft and the back sun room were a hit with everyone. My husband and I enjoyed drinking coffee while looking out at the multitude of backyard trees. Although neighbors are all around, they were quiet and we still had a sense of privacy and that "getting away" feeling. I appreciate how the owner's don't charge an arm and a leg for daily rental fees AND the cleaning fee as some others do. They make a getaway affordable and memorable with their cabin in the woods.

We loved the home, its location, and the king size bed with the great comfy mattress.

Close to town and the lake. Comfortable home to relax in after a long day and just as described. We enjoyed not having to jump in the car but rather a relaxing walk to great food establishments and the lake.
