Comfortable Clean apartment

  • 3 of 5

Very nice, comfortable apartment in Park Slope close to many restaurants. If you don't mind an hour trip to Manhattan on crowded subways, this is definitely an option. The noisy air conditioners in each room killed it for us as did the street noise.

Nice place to stay in a great neighborhood.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for 3 nights in June of 2017. Husband, wife and two young adult daughters. We enjoyed the apartment - nice bathroom, nice kitchen, comfortable queen size bed in the large bedroom, comfortable twin bed in the small bedroom and a comfortable queen size sofa bed in the living room. Plenty of room for togetherness and also personal space. Lots of towels and bedding and plenty of storage. The washer and dryer were both out of order when we stayed but there are at least two laundromats within a few blocks if you need one. The AC was much appreciated since it was nice and warm and somewhat humid there during our visit. The kitchen is well supplied and there are small, although pricey, grocery stores within a couple of blocks of the apartment. There was a small cart to use for laundry or grocery shopping in the cupboard at the top of the stairs when we stayed there - very thoughtful. We saw, on our last morning there, that we were actually within walking distance of a Target store which would have made grocery shopping much less expensive! We enjoyed making breakfast and dinner at 'home' and having snacks and lunches out while sightseeing. The subway is very convenient and we really enjoyed getting around NYC using the subway system. We highly recommend getting out and experiencing Brooklyn and Manhattan using the subway. We even rode the subway the evening we went to see The Phantom of the Opera - all dressed up. It really was an experience unto itself for us Seattle natives. Mom and Dad enjoyed early morning strolls for coffee and danish at 'Cousin John's' around the corner on 7th off of Lincoln and highly recommend a trip there during your visit. The owner lives in the lower portion of the brownstone and she was there to welcome us and show us how to use the AC and such. We would stay here again if we return to New York.

Beautiful get-away...very comfortable!

  • 5 of 5

The owners were very accommodating and easy to work with. Beds were comfortable, towels thick and fluffy, nice and quiet non-smoking accommodations. Our only wish is that the dryer had worked. We washed clothes and towels and had to hang them to dry as the dryer tumbled but did not get the clothes dry. Other than that, all was great!

Very small for even 4 people. Not comfortable. Dryer not working and overall needs a facelift.

  • 2 of 5

Pull out bed was not comfortable enough to sleep on. There was an unsanitary smell off pillows and cushions. Air conditioner over the couch bed making it hard to sleep with noise. Some lights not working, lights were not suitable for dimming which should be checked. Shower door did not close properly. Dryer not working properly. No lock on bathroom door. The first day I used the hairdryer sparkes came out of socket. We did let the owner know and she did supply new hairdryer, and toaster as that wasnt working either. We got spare towels as we couldnt dry same. Overall this was a very disappointing apartment and definately looks more spacious and modern on the website.

Owner's Response: After a thorough inspection of the apartment, we can assure our prospective customers that we fixed the items that needed fixing: the shower door, the dryer and we decided to replace the sofa bed with a more comfortable one. The new toaster (and even the old one), the hair dryer, the lights all work perfectly. The bathroom door lock is the push pin type and I am sorry the guest missed that. The apartment is thoroughly cleaned before each guest with fresh linens provided. As for the size of the apartment, the overall square footage, 800 square feet, is provided in the listing description and we truly regret the guest’s erroneous expectation of a bigger place. As attested by many reviewers before this guest, the listing and pictures on the site are an accurate depiction of the apartment. Our goal is to provide the guest with a pleasant stay and we are confident that our apartment can provide that experience.
