All around perfect!! Much better than we even imagined
This place was so accommodating for our weekend mountain bike trip. The garage was an awesome place to store our bikes and even has a bike stand that came in very handy for daily maintenance. Garage also has bikes to take around town...and that was just a blast bouncing around to breweries and Hot Tomato for pizza. From the beds to couches and even the kitchen the space was very cozy and relaxing. The host is very responsive and clearly knows how a VRBO should be ran. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!
Perfect base camp for a trip to Fruita
This is the second time we have stayed, and this little house meets all our needs. The owner makes it easy to book and stay. We will be back!
Great house and super close to town!
Great house and fantastic yard! Such a good location!!
This house was great - very clean and comfortable. It was perfect with a big yard for the dog.
Close to town and great for walking. The bikes were great fun.
Nice historic home in downtown Fruita
The yard is beautiful. The kitchen is spacious as is the whole house. Would have been a 5 but internet and cable spotty. Quick response from manager. Very friendly and tried however, CAble was out in valley. Family friendly home! Try it!
Correct, unfortunately Century Link had a valley wide outage during their stay. However, the house does NOT have cable (as indicated in the homes amenities details). I do have a "smart TV" which one can link the their phones. I also have an antenna which picks up all the local/ main networks just fine and a DVD player. Most guests are ok with this set up, as there are plenty of other things to do at the house besides watch TV .
Stayed awhile and loved it
We stayed at this rental for a month as a mini working vacation (because working in the summer is best when you can do it somewhere else). The location was great as it allowed us to pretty much walk the entire time we were in town. The community center is less than a mile and we walked there daily for an afternoon swim and exercise classes. The park hosts regular events and is just a few blocks away. We enjoyed the weekly music in the park on Thursdays, Food Truck Friday events and the kids loved having a shaved ice stand within a few blocks. I could walk to the grocery store daily as it was within a mile. There is a great walking trail just a couple of blocks over and just a few minutes ride to get to a pretty awesome bike park. My husband routinely mountain biked in the early a.m. before work and had his choice of trails within ten minutes of home (and nobody is on the trails in the a.m!) There is a rodeo every Tuesday and it's within a five minute drive. The Colorado National Monument is also within ten minutes. There are several restaurants within walking distance. I can even say that we had a chance to visit the E.R. (also within a mile) and they have an orthopedic center also within a mile (visited twice) if you should find yourself in need of care after a bike accident. Did I mention that Powderhorn is also nearby and has a pretty awesome downhill bike trail and some amazing chicken wings as a bonus?
The house itself is roomy and well equipped. I cook full meals every night and never found myself wanting for anything when it came to kitchen supplies. The house had plenty of recreation with foosball, darts, volleyball, bocce, etc.. The dogs LOVED having access to the huge backyard via a dog door and I really appreciate the big shade trees and hammock for some afternoon reading. I felt really at home while staying here. It does get a bit hot in the summer but once you get command of the cooling systems it's manageable.
The house is in a quiet location with friendly neighbors. In fact, I was blown away by just how friendly the entire town is in general. For our family of four this was a great landing space and we would not hesitate to book it again if we should find ourselves back in Fruita.
