Lakefront Vacation House

My children, grandchildren and I had a great stay here. Close enough to walk into Old Forge and far enough away for privacy. We enjoyed kayaking, watching the ducks and their babies, listening to the loons, and we even saw some river otters. Joe, the owner, was readily accessible to answer any questions. Great time was had by all.

What a beautiful location! Very clean and spacious. Private. Joe responded immediately for anything we needed. The three floors provided plenty of space for all ages. The house was stocked with everything. We can’t wait to come back!

Great Location!!

Loved this location!! So peaceful and quite but super close to town. The house was clean and had everything you could need. We rented a boat for the week to go between the lakes!!! The lakes are gorgeous!! Joe was great to work with and would always respond to any questions right away!!!

Wonderful !!!!

We had a wonderful time at this home. It was clean spacious and had everything we needed. Location to the town was perfect. We rented a pontoon boat from Rivets marina without any problems. It rained but fished right off dock under the covered porch. I agree with the one review the steps for upstairs bedrooms where a little steep but manageable. We had a visitor of mama bear and her 3 cubs! Recommend bringing board games and cards for rainy cooler days. Fire pit was great at night. Joe was wonderful host and readily available.

Best Location! Great Layout!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful home in Old Forge! Situated right on the water near Old Forge Pond, we had easy access to everything! We walked and biked into town, rented a boat to cruise and fish on the chain of lakes, and took a few short drives to great hiking areas and restaurants, breweries, and bars. You won't find a value like this! The house was well kept and the layout was ideal for our family. The additional refrigerator on the lower level came in clutch with all the food we brought. We were able to watch the Bills game while smoking meat outside and fishing off the patio; talk about a perfect Sunday! There was no shortage of wildlife here. We were often visited by deer, ducks, loon, and we were lucky enough to see a bald eagle. With 2 living areas, a dining room, and the screened in patio, we had no problems with space. The firepit on the water offered great views of the night sky and the lights in Old Forge. There is plenty of parking on the property as well. Beds were comfy and bathrooms were large. Our family might just make this an annual stay!

Good Family Get Away

We stayed here during a vacation with grandparents/small kids. The house is quite near Old Forge, allowing for easy access for groceries/restaurants/mini golf etc, but far enough away that there is plenty of space/rural feel! The house is well kept up - there are two bedrooms on the ground floor and 3 upstairs (stairs are steep but manageable), and we spent a lot of time outside on the deck and screen porch. The host was great at answering questions, and it was easy to access the house as the keys were in a lockbox right outside. When we stayed, there were 5 boats included (4 kayaks and a paddle boat) as well as a number of life jackets. The house also had a number of useful supplies like fire starters, etc that made our stay very nice. At the time of our stay, if you were there for a week, sheets are included, but you need to bring your own towels. Wifi worked great (best speed on the ground floor - could do zoom/video there). Also you need to take your trash to the town dump on the way out (not far away). A/C was also more than adequate even for those members of my family who like cool temperatures.

Rainy week

This property is perfect for rainy days , with the overhang from the screened in porch it makes for a great fishing spot. Dinning room table is large enough for games, puzzles and cards. Plenty of movies to choose from on Hulu, Netflix, Disney and many more choices. Joe is a great host and is readily available for questions.

Great Time

We were able to fish from the dock even in the rain. Perfect place to dock the boat we rented. House had plenty of room and two refrigerators were perfect for food and drinks. Thanks to Joseph for being a great host.

This property was fantastic and very safe for our kids who are both under the age of three. The pictures on VRBO don't do it justice as it blows you away in person. We will definitely stay here again!

Just Perfect

Our family has stayed at this home 3 times. The location right on the water is perfect. It's clean, comfortable and cozy. Has everything we need for a relaxing and fun filled vacation. The owner is so nice. He's very responsive and he really cares that you have a good time and have everything you need. Can't wait to return next year. It's now like a second home to us.
