L'IXORA APARTMENT is the premiere spacious and luxurious one bedroom bay view apartment located within the newly built BAYSIDE VILLA ST. LUCIA - a private property offering three apartments (LA ROSE, LA MARGUERITE and L'IXORA Apartments), in a quiet residential area located on the outskirts of Castries City, St. Lucia and perched 145 ft above the Caribbean Sea on the La Toc hillside.

L'IXORA Rates are as follows:

HIGH SEASON (Dec 01-May 15) - $90/night for 5+ nights

LOW SEASON (May 16-Nov 30) - $80/night for 5+ nights

MINIMUM STAY: s 2 - 4 nights - $95/night

L'IXORA APARTMENT is surrounded by rich natural vegetation, and boasts a panoramic view of the tranquil Castries City Bay, Vigie Peninsula, Vigie Lighthouse, George Charles Airport (SLU), Vigie Cove Marina, Point Seraphine Duty Free Shopping Complex & Cruise Ship Terminal and Castries City; as well as a hint of the island’s breathtaking northern region from Choc Bay to Gros Islet, visible just beyond the picturesque Vigie Peninsula.

The elegant fully furnished self catering L'IXORA APARTMENT is engulfed by all that guests would require for an enjoyable stay. You are within walking distance (½ mi) from the sun-drenched white sand La Toc Beach and it's fun water sports; a beautiful undulating 9 hole Golf Course manicured to perfection; and the Redland Spa featuring its 'Rub-A-Dub-Dub Two In A Tub' full body massage special. Also, the public transportation “bus stop” is but a one minute walk away from the apartment.

The Castries Bay area is home to many delightful restaurants and bars, which are located either on the shoreline of the Vigie Cove (3 mi drive) or downtown central Castries (2 mi drive).

Castries City, Rodney Bay Village (6 mi drive north) and Gros Islet Town (6.5 mi drive north), with their many exquisite restaurants, bars and night life traditionally beckons all. However, the local flavors emerging from the “Fish Fry Festival” in Anse La Ray Village (6.6 mi drive south), as well as the restaurants and marina night life at Marigot Bay (4.5 mi drive south) cannot be out done and eagerly awaits you.

If shopping is your forte, Castries City is your place. The shops in central Castries, and in the newly built Blue Coral Mall, offer everything you can possibly need at very attractive prices. However, if you fancy duty free shopping this can be achieved within La Place Carenage Duty Free Shopping Mall in central Castries, and at the Point Seraphine Duty Free Shopping Complex - a 3 minute ferry ride from La Place Carenage to the opposite side of the Castries Bay.

L'IXORA APARTMENT, with its private balcony entrance, provides guests with independence, privacy, relaxation and security. The apartment is designed to house two adults with a maximum of two children up to 12 years. Older children or larger groups may require an addition apartment on property. Note, our hillside location may not be suitable for guests with walking challenges.

After your airport pickup the chauffeur will stop at a supermarket / convenience store, allowing you to “stock up” with supplies for your vacation. Otherwise simply e-mail the shopping list at least 48 hrs before your arrival. Your room will be charged with your pre-arrival purchase.

It is your vacation and we are equipped to make it the most enjoyable and memorable holiday you have ever experienced. Your wedding, car rental, deep sea fishing, taxi tour to Soufriere Sulphur Springs and Piton Mountain Peaks (13 mi drive), rainforest sky rides, helicopter tours, morning jogs with the property owners, etc., are all easily arranged. You request it, we will provide it, guaranteed!

Great Views!

Very Clean and comfortable surroundings. Enjoyed watching the cruise ships coming and going. John and Shirley helpful. DO consider the upgrade to SUV than economy car if you plan to drive the island. Steep and curvy roads. Nice that Sandals is directly across the road. They allow you to use their beach. Overall nice stay. Cant ask for much more in an affordable rental on St. Lucia.

Awesome view and great location!

Our stay at Bay View Apartment was relaxing and felt like home. We ate most of our meals there. We stayed in the middle apartment and the kitchen had everything we needed. The view was beautiful! It overlooked the bay and we would see the cruise ships quietly come in while eating breakfast on our front porch in the mornings. The apartment was quiet. It was a nice central location to go north to Rodney Bay area or go south to Marigot Bay or Soufriere. It is a 10 minute walk to the beach in the Sandals Resort. The couch was uncomfortable, but John was going to fix it. John and Shirley were wonderful hosts, very cheerful and willing to give you ideas of what to see and do. Be sure to visit the Pink Plantation restaurant. It was declicious! It is about 6 minutes from the place, but ask John or Shirley how to get there. We would highly recommend this place to stay when visiting Saint Lucia.

Nice apartment with very helpful host

The apartment is small and simple but this is what we needed. We rented a car and stayed in only for nights. There is no attractions within walking distance, so I would say that a car is must. I found our host very nice, polite and helpful. He was always there for us with good advice.

I like St. Lucia for its beauty and many attractions to offers for its small size.

the way to see the local people and places

My wife and I just got back from two weeks at john and shirley's place. It was clean and quite. The area which is a port and the capital has boats going in and out taking tourist on adventures and occasional cruise boats come in the morning. Those big boats are fun to watch and they glide by noiselessly. We rented a car with John's help ( he gets you a discount ). Just remember keep it on the left! The locals are very friendly. We went to local restaurants and bars and felt secure. No hassles. If I ever go back to St. Lucia I'd stay there again. It's ok to haggle with the locals for better prices. We used the kitchen for breakfast and usually ate lunch and dinner out but did some cooking at dinner also. All the beaches are different and accessible to the public even if it has a resort there. So we had a great time, we defintately recommend this adventure.

Fantastic stay, great location close to beach and town

My fiance and I could not enjoy our stay more than we did at Bayside Villa.

John and Shirley were very welcoming and the apartment we rented easily felt like home. The unit itself was very clean and we had all the utensils we needed to cook our own meals. Upon our arrival, Anthony picked us up. If you are looking for someone to take you around St. Lucia and do not wish to rent the car or take the bus, definitely book Anthony for your trip. He is friendly and very patient and will easily stay around until you are finished your tour or adventure booking.

John and Shirley answered all of our questions and were more than happy to answer questions we had about the island (best way to travel to Soufriere, Pigeon Island, Marigot Bay). The night we arrived, John drove us to and from a restaurant (free of charge) in the town of Castries. We had dinner with another guest who stayed at the Villa (we arrived relatively at the same time) and had a wonderful evening.

The Villa itself is located right across the Sandals resort in Castries. It's about a 10 minute walk to the public beach (you need to enter the Sandals premises but someone there will steer you in the right direction).

If you wish to start your morning with a cup of coffee or tea or unwind with a beer or a glass of wine, this apartment has an incredible view. We were treated one night especially to a spectacular view.

John and Shirley do have a couple of dogs but they are trained to stay away. If the pets do approach you and you are not a dog person, they are extremely friendly. One can easily avoid them if they do not want the attention. :)
