About the host
Hosted by Patrick Chau
Hi, I’m Patrick —software test engineer, traveler, and passionate host behind Casa Cozy Houston. After spending a year traveling through 5 continents and staying in some unforgettable Airbnbs, I came back inspired to create a space that feels just as memorable and welcoming.
Hosting is personal to me—every detail at Casa Cozy is intentional, from the curated interiors to the outdoor firepit and hot tub setup. I know what it’s like to arrive in a new city and want something that feels like home… but better. So that’s what I aim to give you. Whether you’re here for business, a family trip, or a celebration, I’m excited to host you with care and style.
When I’m not setting up Airbnbs, I’m either working on remodeling homes, nerding out on design, or planning my next trip.

Why they chose this property
I chose the Greater Third Ward because it’s one of the most vibrant, soulful, and culturally rich neighborhoods in Houston. It’s a place where history meets creativity—home to legendary Black-owned businesses, mural-lined streets, and some of the city’s best food, music, and art scenes.
What I love most is the energy. There’s a real sense of pride here. You’re minutes from Downtown, the Museum District, and Midtown, but you also get the authentic charm and character of a community with deep roots and a powerful story.
Whether you’re grabbing BBQ from a local spot, exploring nearby parks, or heading to a festival at Emancipation Park, you’ll get to experience a side of Houston that’s real, welcoming, and full of life. That’s why I built Casa Cozy here—it’s not just a place to stay, it’s a place to feel something.

What makes this property unique
Casa Cozy isn’t just a place to crash—it’s an experience. You’ll have your own private backyard oasis, complete with a hot tub, fire pit, and daybed for lounging. Inside, you’ll find design-forward interiors, a convertible pool/ping pong/dining table, and thoughtful touches that feel more boutique hotel than basic rental.
I also installed refillable shampoo & conditioner dispensers, stocked the kitchen for real cooking, and made sure the space was just as cozy for a solo traveler as it is for a group getaway. The vibe is playful yet relaxing, and my goal is always to make guests say: “This is way better than we expected.”
