Host made us very welcome. Close to where we needed to visit, and easy to get to. A few things could be improved, but nothing that would deter us from staying there.
We had a sister weekend in St Charles. The house was Very clean and comfortable!! Great beds and nice living room. Fully equipped kitchen, but we preferred to eat out. Loved the location in Frenchtown, much quieter compared to Main Street. 2 coffee shops within short walking distance. Parking available behind the house. Easy to contact host with any questions.
Overall the place was amazing, within walking distance from Main Street where all of the shops and bars are at. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was the furniture on the back porch was old and dirty and full of leaves, the back door was very difficult to open/close and could not get it to lock. Other than that the place was amazing and the beds were very comfortable. Perfect for a weekend get away for sure!

Had no intention of leaving a review until we received no response to our concerns. No interaction at all with host. Lack of amenities—no dishwasher soap even though we were supposed to run it before leaving; no hot water on the last morning of our stay.
We live south a ways but wanted to get away to St. Charles for a change of pace. The stay was perfect minus the heat…. But tis the season (August)The house was wonderful! Everything from the old charm, amenities and short distance to old downtown. We will be staying here again and habe already told friends about it! Blessed weekend stay
Honestly loved it. Could use some TLC but with a little of that, I could live there! Super cute neighborhood. Back door didnt lock for us either and that’s pretty important. Would prefer regular coffee pot myself, but offered Keirig with a few pods. 3 bath towels total so had to buy detergent to wash daily. (Washer/dryer in unit) The place is super cute though. Upstairs available and super cute also if you want another bedroom/bath. We would go back.
Quaint feel with exposed brick in rooms. Comfortable beds. Quiet neighborhood, close to Katie trail. Walking distance to historic downtown about a mile away. Several coffe shops within a couple if blocks. Easy access to freeways.
Brought my grandbabies to see St. Louis zoo and aquarium. The house was very nice as well as the neighborhood. I would however would maybe reevaluate your cleaning crew. When stripping linens as requested I found the mattress pad had stains. Please look into changing this. Dishes were put up dirty, I wash them before I use them anyway but to pull out something with food on it isn’t good. The shower curtain in the bathroom off the kitchen the shower rod/curtain fell while showering, ( luckily I didn’t get hit) maybe secure it a bit better. The kitchen needs to be better stocked. 6 of us 2 drinking glasses, the rest was highball glasses brandy glasses and coffee cups. No can opener or cutting board, (didn’t want to cut meat up and scrape up your counters), also maybe a normal coffee maker. I brought my own coffee and couldn’t make it cause it’s a k-cup maker! You had coffee for it , which is very nice, but not a great choice . I don’t expect you to furnish coffee and it was nice you did but I’d rather a coffee pot I can make the kind I drink.May be just me. When you have 6 people staying you should have 6 towels and washcloths not 4. Outside patio would be better if it had a cover over it for when it rains. For me we get a house so we can have the convenience of home. Some of the amenities felt more like hotel than house. Overall this place was great and a perfect location with a few changes it would be a 5 star review. Thanks so much for hosting us. We had an amazing time!

Back porch and furniture was not clean and usable. Cob webs on ceiling in living room. Back door did not lock when we left. Dead bolt does not engage. Bedroom doors were cracked and didnt stay closed. Very poorly managed. TV was to high. Stained sheets on both beds. Dog was barking and wasnt sure if he bites. Couldnt get off motorcycle because worried it would bite. Road closed due to a marathon. Communication would have been nice
The rental is very nice, and the location is great. However, we had two big problems while we were there. I found a bunch of broken glass on the floor, and my one-year-old son picked up a safety razor blade that was apparently on the floor as well. We kept our kids in shoes the whole time because we were afraid they would step on something sharp. Second, in the morning I took a shower. When I got out, I was wearing a towel when we heard the front door code being punched in, the door opened, and a man walked in. Luckily, my husband was with us but I can’t imagine how afraid I would have been if it was just me and my small children, and a man walked in while I was not yet dressed. The property manager followed up and it was apparently a repairman, but giving people the code while people are renting the property is a huge safety issue. Are they changing the codes between people renting? It doesn’t seem like it. This could be a very nice rental if it was safer with better cleaning and a more secure code-generation process.
