Beautiful, Cedar Lakeside Cabin with Private Dock

Come enjoy the peaceful beauty of our family's lakeside retreat home on the peaceful Little River cove on Lake Barkley! Our beautiful cedar cabin is the perfect place to spend time with friends and family, whether you're grilling, swimming, fishing, boating, relaxing, playing games, or sharing stories.

Although a picture is worth a thousand words, photos almost can't do this house justice! Our house has hardwood floors throughout with 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms. The master bedroom has a queen canopy bed with custom-made designer bedding, and an amazing view of the lake to wake up to. The second bedroom also has a queen-sized bed with a beautiful lake view, while the 3rd bedroom is equipped with two sets of bunkbeds (one has a full bed on the bottom, and a trundle underneath). The main bedrooms have lake views and doors opening onto the deck. The fully-equipped kitchen contains counter top seating, a kitchenette and larger dining table and area, and stainless-steel appliances. The living room has a huge, modern sectional couch with huge windows and an amazing view of the lake!

Step outside to the huge deck, to enjoy the lake view, sunset over the lake, or a view of the night sky, or BBQ with our Weber gas grill. Take an easy stroll across our gentle slopping lawn to the private dock and take a dip in the lake, fish, just relax and watch the boats go by, or dock your own boat. We have a canoe and kayak available for our guest use.

Please note we do allow hypoallergenic dogs under 50 lbs for a $250 pet fee. Please click the box for pet when making your reservation.

For guest and property safety, the home has exterior security cameras only (front door Ring camera and one lake-facing exterior camera). There are no interior cameras.

Nice place to unwind and enjoy a little fishing. The lake was very low but fishing from the dock was possible. The house was mostly clean and comfortable but there were a lot of cobwebs inside.

Great weekend just was too short of a break for the family. 2 changed plans at the last minute but still we visited most of the antique stores and the Geeks paradise store (we think was the name). Kayaking and grilling, very quiet and relaxing. Had a starving stray cat waiting on the porch but he is very friendly. Would recommend. Host is prompt and friendly. Place is as described. Dock is a great place for the kayaks and we’d hangout on the dock for the views of the lakeand the lake , very peaceful and pretty calm.

The house and location were great. The exterior could use a wash down from all the critters but not real bad… the host was excellent. Got back to me right away on everything. The kitchen was nice. The only drawback I had was the fact that the core of engineers had started lowering the level of the lake in July so by the time we were there in mid August the water levels were so low that we couldn’t get into the water had a lot of waterfowl, geese and egrets fishing. It was great to look at but the water was pretty bad. Also, the town is mostly closed Sunday through Tuesday so restaurant and shopping availability were limited.

The house was lovely and it was great it came equipped was kitchen items and bedding, The yard was very large with a great view and dock. Other than rain most days, and not in any way the hosts control, we had a good family time.

Absolutely wonderful! Communication with the host was easy and timely. Answered all of my questions and was very accommodating to requests. Answered immediately when we were there regarding trash and so on. Beautiful property! Saw deer grazing on the lawn. Private dock was terrific for fishing and swimming. Loved the huge back deck especially with the covered area when it drizzled some. Just was a really great experience! Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone and will be staying there again in the future.

Property was even better than I expected. The host was very nice. Home was very clean and had plenty of extras that might be needed. Yard is big and beautiful with an easy, gentle slope to the dock. We loved having a private swimming area off the dock, it was better than the public beaches we went to. It couldn't have been any more perfect for our family. Home was easy to find, close to LBL and a store right down the road. Honestly, this was the best vacation house we've ever stayed in because of the lake access and amenities. Thank you for hosting us.

Excellent place to stay!! Loved the place. One suggestion to make it more accessible for older travelers would be to have handrails near the steps. But I would highly recommend this place, and we will definitely stay here again!

This place was wonderful! Clean, quiet, peaceful with an amazing lake view. The back porch was a priceless place to sit and have coffee in the morning or evening. Everything one needed in the kitchen to cook. Teresa answered questions immediately and she was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this VRBO for a spectacular stay!

This was the perfect getaway spot. The house is very welcoming and clean. The neighborhood is very quiet and access to the lake was super easy. We took kayaks and had no problem getting them in or out of the water. The wind was blowing pretty hard on the main lake, but this area was protected so we still got to do some kayaking and fishing. Great stay!

The cabin and grounds were beautiful. The rooms were clean. The kitchen was spacious as was the great room. The view fom the deck was beautiful., with glimpses of beautiful birds and wildlife. Within walking distance was a floating dock from which you could fish or admire the beauty of the lake. Parking was close to the house and was spacious enough for more than one vehicle. The host was responsive to any questions.I would definitely recommend the cabin to anyone.

We are a family of 5 who lives in Nashville, Tennessee. We grew up in Indiana and Arkansas, but have lived here for 16 years and love the beauty of the Kentucky/ Tennessee area. We have two boys and a little girl we adopted from Ethiopia in 2011.

Why they chose this property

We have lived in the Nashville area for 20 years, and about 10 years ago, began searching for the perfect lake front property around the Nashville area. Thus, we have rented houses and cabins all over Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley! When our real estate agent showed us this property - we were in love! It is the perfect mix of a modern, beautiful house, with a lake front cedar cabin.

What makes this property unique

The rustic cedar/ cabin-like appearance of the house, yet beautiful indoor (and outdoor) amenities, gentle sloping yard toward the lake -it is unlike any we have seen or rented. And we have taken great pains to make this a beautiful place to stay inside the house as well!
