Beautiful, Cedar Lakeside Cabin with Private Dock

Come enjoy the peaceful beauty of our family's lakeside retreat home on the peaceful Little River cove on Lake Barkley! Our beautiful cedar cabin is the perfect place to spend time with friends and family, whether you're grilling, swimming, fishing, boating, relaxing, playing games, or sharing stories.

Although a picture is worth a thousand words, photos almost can't do this house justice! Our house has hardwood floors throughout with 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms. The master bedroom has a queen canopy bed with custom-made designer bedding, and an amazing view of the lake to wake up to. The second bedroom also has a queen sized bed with a beautiful lake view, while the 3rd bedroom is equipped with two sets of bunkbeds (one has a full bed on the bottom, and a trundle underneath). The main bedrooms have lake views and doors opening onto the deck. The fully-equipped kitchen contains counter top seating, a kitchen and larger dining table, and stainless-steel appliances. The living room has a huge, modern sectional couch with huge windows and an amazing view of the lake!

Step outside to the huge deck, to enjoy the lake view, sunset over the lake, or a view of the night sky, or BBQ with our gas grill. Take an easy stroll across our gentle slopping lawn to the private dock and take a dip in the lake, fish, just relax and watch the boats go by, or dock your own boat.

Beautiful property, amazing host

We celebrated Thanksgiving together on the lake in this beautiful property. This property has everything you need! Quiet location, beautiful views, and lots of room for the children to run around and play outside. Plenty of parking. We can’t wait to come together again and stay here!

Location & Views

The property is sprawling and beautiful. The house, itself, could use some updating. Not the place to watch TV-family room tv is small for the space. The patio is in rough shape and grill and accessories were dirty. The outdoor ceiling fan/light was covered in cobwebs. Not sure if owners knew ahead of time, but the water was only about 2 feet deep. I didn’t think to research as I am not a lane person and assumed you could swim. However! Teresa the owner was wonderful! And if you are looking for a quiet, rustic getaway you could not ask fur better hosts.

Meeting friends from St. Louis

We had a great time. Sat on back porch, cooked and rented a boat. Also explored Cadiz and Grand Rivers (Patti’s 1880). Awesome place and can’t wait to go back

Paradise by the Lake

As other reviewers have said, the property is even better than the pictures show. My family and my brother's family stayed here as a jumping off point to see the 2024 eclipse. We already want to come back. The house is perfectly set up with comfortable rooms and a great gathering area. The property is incredible with a huge, private outdoor space and fantastic waterfront. Loved every minute here!

Two family meet up. Space to spread out

This location was a perfect half way point to meet up with friends. The house was a nice space to spread out. The yard was spacious. The lake was low, but still nice view. It was perfect for what we needed and we had a nice quiet New Year Celebration. We had a few issues, but the host responded quickly.

Peaceful lake house

The property was as stated/shown.....other than the back yard is actually much larger than it appears in the listing. House was nice and well stocked....could use some new pillows. Location was fantastic and our dogs had a great time in the yard. Lots of critters around, lots of birds. Eagles herons etc. We took a hummingbird feeder with us and enjoyed the show. Overall, very nice and peaceful place. Owners nice and easy to work with. If you're looking for a quiet, laid-back trip, I'd highly recommend this house.

Family Vacation

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. All amenities were handy and clean. Easy to find, plenty of parking. Each morning we saw at least 4 deer. Plenty of wildlife ranging from deer, ground hogs, wild geese, and the neighbors chickens. Minutes from the Lake Barkley beach, and the Bison/Elk prairie. A dollar store and gas station close by for last minute snacks, bait, and supplies. We enjoyed the grill and back deck. We all caught fish: blue gill, and cat fish. We would love to come back when the crappie are hot. Thanks for sharing your home with us. The Atwood’s.

Beautiful Home!!!!

My family was looking for a place to stay for a long weekend. The Lake Barkley house did not disappoint us. It was exactly like the pictures , but better!!!! The neighborhood is quiet and the house boasts all the comforts of home. We rented a boat from Lake Barkley Marina for a day. Then another day went to the State Park Nature Station. I would suggest water shoes for swimming off the deck due to the muddy bottom. But we loved fishing and swimming off the dock. Also, if you love deer, don't be surprised to find them roaming in the backyard. There is a food store close to the house, in Cadiz, if you need to stop for groceries. Loved our stay!!!!

Beautiful location, right next to the lake.

Thank you for your beautiful home for the weekend. My daughter is at Murray State university so being 6 hours away, we rented this perfect place and spent the weekend. We brought a few of her teenage friends, whom also loved it. Only about 40 minutes away from Murray if you have any GSP kids and need a family day that is NOT in a hotel. Highly recommend a lake day. Even 2 familes (one with a boat, and one with a jet ski) would be perfect! We brought our jet ski's and put in the lake just a few minutes from the house. The floats supplied by the rental house was fun. The kids loved the hotdog float. The grill was great for outdoor use. Everything we needed, was right there. Just pack a suitcase with a swimsuit and you are set. There really is not any large grocery chain stores close by, so either do that when coming in, or make the 40 min trip back to Murray to the Super Walmart. Caseys (a little gas station that has a pizza place inside) was delicious! Quick, easy, and close by. Food Giant was a small grocery, but had the basics. Dollar store close by as well. Only negative, was our weather. It just did not want to cooperate!~ I would love to return for a longer stay. Owner was very responsive to any questions as well prior to arrival that we had. Our family of five enjoyed our stay. The layout of the house was perfect and the location was easily accessible to Lake Barkley and Land Between the Lakes. We also enjoyed the dock and back porch.

Family get together

Nice, clean roomy house with just a short walk to a small dock. Big porches in front and back of house. It was relaxing to sit on back porch and enjoy the view to the lake and grill.

Wonderful lake house, perfect for families

Great house right on the lake with nice, open living/kitchen/dining area. Bunk beds were great for our kids and master bedroom and bath was very spacious. Loved the outdoor areas too!

A great waterfront cabin experience

This is a delightful, rustic cabin that's convenient to Land Between the Lakes park. Unlike many short-term rentals in the area, it feels like a proper home, which I much prefer. My daughter loved tramping around the backyard and going out to the dock to watch the water-birds foraging, though there wasn't any actual water at the dock while we were there. All in all, it was a great, cozy fall experience and I want to thank Teresa for sharing their vacation home with us.

Beautiful home. Everything we needed. No water around the dock but we knew they pulled Barkley down every year no problem. Close to Land between the lakes .

Great house in a beautiful location

We had a lovely time and the house was perfect for our group of six people. The lake was very low and not ideal for kayaking/canoeing, which was a little bit of a bummer but not the owners fault at all. I would try to come back when the water is higher if that is important to you. Otherwise, fully recommend this spot!

We are a family of 5 who lives in Nashville, Tennessee. We grew up in Indiana and Arkansas, but have lived here for 16 years and love the beauty of the Kentucky/ Tennessee area. We have two boys and a little girl we adopted from Ethiopia in 2011.

We have lived in the Nashville area for 20 years, and about 10 years ago, began searching for the perfect lake front property around the Nashville area. Thus, we have rented houses and cabins all over Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley! When our real estate agent showed us this property - we were in love! It is the perfect mix of a modern, beautiful house, with a lake front cedar cabin.

The rustic cedar/ cabin-like appearance of the house, yet beautiful indoor (and outdoor) amenities, gentle sloping yard toward the lake -it is unlike any we have seen or rented. And we have taken great pains to make this a beautiful place to stay inside the house as well!
