The central air conditioning went out for a previous guest. We had a HVAC repair professional out immediately. There was a hole in the coil but they were able to temporarily recharge the system until a new AC could be ordered and installed. We wanted to be sure that the AC continued to work for them as well as future guest because of the extreme hot weather conditions (temperatures were in the high 90’s with high dewpoints making it feel like it was over 100 degrees). The HVAC professionals told us the equipment would not be delivered until after these guests checked out. We made the mistake of not pre-warning them since it was expected to be a non-issue because it would be after their check out. When the HVAC professionals said the equipment was available and ready to install two days early we wanted to get it done because despite the recharge it could fail again at any time due to the hole in the system. Again with the extreme temperatures we wanted everyone to be safe and cool. We apologized to these guests multiple times and refunded them $ for the inconvenience it cause. We do not at all understand the guest inability to shower, change, or use the toilet since the utility room where the HVAC system is is in the laundry room and not connected to the bathroom or any bedrooms.
