Great island, great accommodations

  • 5 of 5

This place was clearly marketed accurately. We enjoyed our time there more because the owner had everything for us including beach chairs, kitchen utensils, etc. Place was clean, comfortable and appointed nicely. Condo had an elevator making trips up and down with beach gear easier. Only one small downside being loud neighbors on adjacent balconies - NOT owners fault, but none-the-less was annoying to hear. Grounds were clean and pool was nice. Beach access was easy and INCREDIBLE - we will be back! Our family consisted of: me, wife, 9yo, 16yo and 18yo - everyone enjoyed this trip!

Owner's Response: I find that an accurate description and pictures of my units are very important to my guests so I am glad you found them to be an accurate portrayal of this unit. The elevator is very important to me also some of the buildings do not have them so one should be careful in renting units without elevators. My unique provisions such as beach chairs, cooler, beach umbrellas, sand toys, and other great items keeps your costs down for your stay. I also love the great beach access of the beach villas and I only own beach villas. Once you stay in a beach villas you will never want to stay anywhere else in the resort.

April Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Again, we had a wonderful April vacation week staying at Kim's condo. This was our second year renting from Kim. She makes it all so easy and provides so much information before we get there so we can make plans and know what we'd like to do while there. The views from the condo are amazing and we love watching the Ospreys care for their babies while we have our morning coffee. All of the amenities are in great condition and the condo is exceptionally clean. The beach chairs and umbrellas are kept in great shape and it's so easy to pick them up and drop them off on our way to and from the beach. We had breakfast and lunch in the condo each day and then dinner out. Our favorites were the Mucky Duck and Doc Ford's; both places are fun and the food delicious. Our teenagers enjoyed both places and would decide where to eat based on the desserts they enjoyed during previous visits. Watching the sunset from the screened in porch or on the beach is a highlight each night. We will be back to Captiva and plan to book next April with Kim soon.

Best Gulf Views

  • 4 of 5

The reviews were good for this unit. The views are wonderful of the gulf and the grounds from the screened deck. We have stayed on Captiva in the past. We were disappointed that the unit needs some attention. Beach chairs and an umbrella that we paid for to use in the total cost were in bad shape. Two chairs were broken and the other ones were in bad shape. The deck furniture needed attention and especially with the time spent out there.

Owner's Response: HI I am glad you enjoyed the view It is however unfortunate the previous guests broke two chairs on you. They are located in a locker that guests have access to and housekeeping does not check on them so really it is the honor system. I am thinking of no longer providing them for guest use since I have had problems in the past with this. It is so unfortunate this happens I have replaced the two chairs with new ones but they are tommy bahama chairs and they are not Cheap ones as stated in the review but in fact very expensive chairs and umbrella is also tommy bahama. So chairs have been replaced but I am not sure what the future will bring and if I will continue to provide those items. It is sad again but not sure what else to do.

Exceptional location and Amenities

  • 5 of 5

We chose this condo unit for its lovely sunset views and its close proximity to the pool and beach and we were not disappointed. The unit was very comfortably furnished with great linens and we enjoyed staying in a few evenings and cooking as all kitchen utensils are at your disposal. We loved the lanai to view the sunsets and there is an elevator should you choose that route. Doc Fords restaurant is on site, but also make the Bubble Room part of your adventure in Captiva. The Greek flaming cheese appetizer is second to none, and the decor is about as eclectic as it can get. There is a small plaza with a Starbucks within a 5 minute walk. If you can, visit Sanibel BeanSprout as it offers delicious vegan food. This unit had plenty of bath towels as well as beach towels. There are even beach chairs and a cooler at your disposal. We loved the beach, the home and the surroundings and I would recommend this unit for your stay on Captiva. Thank you Kim for making our stay a delight

May 2015 Great get away

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed at one of Kim's Villas for our 30th anniversary and it was outstanding. The view of the Gulf and the Osprey nest was a pleasure everyday. The accommodations were more than expected, you really don't have to bring anything if you don't want to. We will definitely stay with Kim the next time we go to Captiva. I highly recommend doing business with Kim and her husband.

Best Views

I have had the pleasure of staying at three different units from the owner, Kim. This unit absolutely has the best views ever. Perfect for evening sunsets or morning coffee or just relaxing watching the ocean and beautiful sunsets. As with all her units, everything is well appointed and taken care of. Kim is a pleasure to work with and makes sure you have no worries during your trip. Perfect for families and the loft is a great place for a teen. Just got back home and am already thinking about my next trip. Book with Kim and you can't go wrong. I recommend her units to everybody I know.
