About this property

Sauna, River Views, 4BR Homestead Retreat

Set near the heart of an 85-acre family homestead in the Columbia River Gorge, GreenHouse is a thoughtfully renovated home with river, mountain, and forest views. Unwind in the outdoor sauna, pick seasonal fruit, say hi to the animals or curl up in the reading nook. Whether you're gathering with family, exploring the Columbia River Gorge, attending a wedding, or simply slowing down for a few unhurried days, GreenHouse offers a peaceful place to return to at the end of each day.

GreenHouse has abundant natural light, real wood floors, and open common areas for gathering. The main floor includes a spacious kitchen, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a large deck, where the Columbia River is visible through towering Douglas Firs.

If you want to spread out, the lower level offers a private suite with an additional bedroom, bathroom, living area, and kitchenette.

Just one mile from Stevenson, GreenHouse is an ideal base for waterfalls, forest hikes, paddling, hot springs, and craft pubs, wineries, restaurants – everything the Gorge has to offer. It’s also a great place to slow down and savor staying put!

GreenHouse is part of Barn Magic, an evolving hospitality and stewardship project rooted in the homestead – depending on season and availability, we sometimes offer fresh bread, land walks, or craniosacral sessions to those who stay. More information is provided after booking.

This property was excellent and had everything we needed while visiting for my nephew’s wedding. Kika was very quick to respond to the few questions we had and very nice to work with. The view off the back porch was great!I would definitely stay there again.

The MOST AMAZING place to stay!!! We are so glad we chose the Greenhouse! The location was perfect, the hosts were amazing, and the house was so comfortable! The views were gorgeous, the people were so friendly and inviting; the only bad part was that we had to leave! We absolutely loved and enjoyed our time here and can’t wait to go back! You will NOT regret renting this place, you will only regret passing it up! The house had everything we needed and I slept better in their beds than mine at home! Seriously. This honestly was the best rental we’ve stayed in so far, from house to host it’s a 10 out of 10 all the way!

I was lucky enough to grow up here! My family has stewarded this homestead for three generations. Now I am raising my own daughter here. We value the opportunity to live closely with nature and animals and love sharing this place with guests who want to experience that also.

Why they chose this property

One of my favorite things about living here is the Italian-village-meets-nature-preserve vibe. :)

The homestead has a small but wonderful cast of human and animal characters, all of whom contribute in some way to the place.

What makes this property unique

We are nestled into an idyllic canyon valley overlooking the Columbia River, with a cast of beloved animals: horses, sheep, cats, chickens, farm dogs.... Our homestead is private and peaceful, but we are also close enough to stroll into town and grab fish tacos from our favorite taco cart. We love having the best of both worlds, with the entire Columbia River Gorge at our fingertips!
