We really enjoyed our stay. House was clean and worked well for our needs. Very close to the cruise ships. The host was great responding to my questions. Highly recommend this location especially if you are cruising. We will definitely stay there again if in the area.

Was located in one of the worst neighborhoods in Galveston which we should have double checked. Nowhere in the listing did it say there would be other people above us. The owner rents the upstairs area.

For clarity, the listing is for a private two-bedroom, two-bath unit for up to four guests, as clearly stated. The property is a duplex with a separate upstairs apartment occupied by a quiet, long-term tenant, which has not been an issue for prior guests. The home is located in a residential area of Galveston, and we have not had safety concerns or similar feedback from other visitors. Additionally, when you expressed discomfort, we offered a full refund so you would have the opportunity to book alternative accommodations, which was declined. We always encourage guests to carefully review listing details and location before booking to ensure the property is a good fit. We appreciate your stay and wish you the best in your next travels.

We had a nice stay for the one night before our cruise. The place was clean and nicely decorated. Our bed was amazing. My husband and I said it was one of the best nights of sleep we have had in a long time. The apartment did have a musty smell when you walk in (guessing its because its an older house) but once you put on the air conditioner it wasn't really noticeable or we just got use to it. The ice maker and water did not work on the refrigerator. If we stayed longer than one night both of these issues would have been a problem for us but since we were there for less than 24 hours I didn’t mention it. Also there are people above you but it wasn't an issue while we were there.

The place is very cute and updated. The host is responsive. This place has very limited to no extras. I read a request from the host asking guest to use beach towels not the white towels. I assumed that meant there were beach towels available. There are not. So if you're planning to go to the beach plan to bring towels.The kitchen is very limitedly stocked. There's no kitchen hand towels or rags. I contacted the host several times due to water leaking from the base of the refrigerator. We did not want it to ruin their floors. I felt like the house was clean except the floors could have used a little more attention under furniture and near the front door. We stayed 2 days after returning from a cruise. The place was cute and met our needs but would not have met our needs if we were planning to stay more than a couple days and if it were a beach getaway. The neighborhood is a mixture of nice places then run down. We never felt unsafe, but it didn't seem like the best neighborhood either. I don't want to give the wrong impression of this place it was clean, the rate was reasonable, the host is responsive and it met the minimal requirements we needed for our short stay. If the host is planning to continue to rent out their unit as a vacation home they definitely could add some much appreciated conveniences/ extras without spending a lot of money.

I’ve always had a deep love for Galveston. It’s not just a beach town,it’s a unique island full of history,charm,and character.Every corner tells a story, and I knew from the beginning that I wanted to be a part of it.When I first bought this home,the plan was to remodel and sell it. It was one of our first steps into the real estate world, and I saw potential in this project,even though the property had no electrical wiring or water connection at the time. It was a big challenge, but also an exciting opportunity to create something meaningful.
We completely transformed the home from the ground up. We designed and built a brand-new outdoor structure,upgraded all the utilities,and gave the entire property a fresh,modern look.What once was one of the worst homes on the street,rented by bad neighbors and neglect,became something I’m truly proud of a home that helps elevate the neighborhood and adds beauty to the area.
This project wasn’t just about real estate for me. It was about being part of positive change, bringing new life to a neighborhood I believe in.I hope you feel that pride and care when you stay here.
