Welcome to Rising Aub, LLC — Hosting with Heart

We’re Skye and Bethany — best friends, sisters at heart, and the founders of Rising Aub, LLC. As moms, professionals, and passionate hosts, we know that traveling can sometimes be stressful. That’s why we’re committed to creating spaces that feel like a home away from home, where comfort, care, and connection come first.

Skye is originally from Australia and now calls Durham, NC home, working as a dedicated school teacher. Bethany is a North Carolina native living in Sanford, NC, balancing life as a project manager in accounting and data services. By day, we’re busy working — and by night, we’re busy being moms. We love beach days, backyard cookouts, staying active, and sharing laughter with loved ones.

We started Rising Aub, LLC with a bigger vision in mind: to build a legacy for our children. The name combines the names of our little ones, and everything we do is rooted in the values we hope to pass on — kindness, hard work, and hospitality with heart. One day, we hope they’ll carry this dream forward.

2. Historic Tobacco and Railroad Roots: It was a major hub for tobacco production and trade in the 19th and early 20th centuries, and its location on the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad helped it grow rapidly.


3. The Birthplace of Hardee's: The fast food chain Hardee's was founded in Rocky Mount in 1960 by Wilber Hardee.


4. Rocky Mount Mills: The city is home to one of the oldest cotton mills in the South (built in 1818), which has been revitalized into a mixed-use campus featuring breweries, restaurants, and lofts.


5. Cultural and Musical Heritage: Rocky Mount has a strong African American cultural legacy and is closely linked to notable jazz musician Thelonious Monk, who was born there.

We focused on the little things — the thoughtful touches that often go overlooked. Of course, you’ll find cozy, comfortable furniture, welcoming colors, and the amenities you'd expect. But we went further. Forgot your toothbrush? We’ve got you covered. Need a cup of coffee to start your day? It’s already waiting. Traveling with your furry friend? We’ve thought of them, too, with pet bowls and beds to make them feel at home.

Every item we include has been chosen with care to make your stay as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Still, we know there’s always room to improve.
