The Denton Street Holiday House, an 1893 Victorian in the Historic District
A unique opportunity to stay in a beautiful Victorian in the Gainesville Historic District! The 'Denton Street Holiday House' was built in 1893. This home has the original stained glass, wood floors and trim, and even the original doorbell! It is decorated for a Victorian Christmas year round! With almost 4000 sq. feet, you can sleep and entertain up to 8 guests. There are 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms and a full kitchen. There are many patios, including a balcony where you can enjoy your morning coffee, overlooking a 125 year old Oak tree. The backyard has a new porch swing and plenty of patio furniture to enjoy good weather. Located just 2 blocks from the square, featuring boutiques, an antique mall, restaurants, Landon Winery, Krootz Brewery, a farmer’s Market and food trucks. A short drive to many other Wineries, breweries, in the surrounding small towns in beautiful North Texas Hill Country. Less than 10 minutes to Winstar Casino! Minutes to Leonard Park and Frank Buck Zoo! The Historic District is walkable and quiet and quaint. Quiet hours are 10PM-8AM. There is a train that runs through town, but most people don’t notice it inside the house. If you do, we have air filters, fans, and ear plugs in every room. I have only had a few people that even notice it. You will love your time here, I try to stay in town any chance I get, it’s like stepping back in time!

This was a beautiful home that was fun to stay at with all the Christmas decorations. It was very clean, with very comfortable beds. His was very easy to work with and had great communication. We hope to stay here again!
The host was very welcoming and very helpful she checked on us and she was very sweet. The house was amazing and all decorated for Christmas. Would be a amazing house to host a Christmas night for a family wanting to just get a way and relax. The cook book there had tons of good food you could do for dinner
Such a fun opportunity to stay in a Victorian style home built in the 1800s! The stained glass is beautiful, and our group enjoyed exploring such a gorgeous piece of history. So much Christmas stuff! Absolutely adorable. There is a train track somewhere nearby, which we didn’t realize until we heard it in the middle of the night.

Yes, train goes through Gainesville and Amtrak stops at the Historic Train Depot. We are far enough away most people don’t notice it, but we do have air filters in the closets you can turn on if you are a light sleeper and ear plugs in the drawers. Sorry it woke you up.
This house is amazing! We needed a place to stay while dropping our lids off a summer camp and this house was perfect! It is stunning and very well kept. It is also 10 mo it’s from the casino. Each room is absolutely beautiful. The beds were great and the host was amazing! We will definitely be staying here again!
