Welcome to The Shouse, a private-use group retreat and gathering property designed for connection, comfort, and flexibility. This spacious 5,000 sq ft property is ideal for large group stays, retreats, workshops, and celebrations where guests want room to gather together while still having space to rest and spread out. Only one group is hosted at a time, ensuring privacy and exclusive use of the indoor lodging and gathering spaces.

The finished basement is designed as a dedicated indoor gathering and lounge space and is included with every stay.

The home comfortably accommodates up to 20 overnight guests across multiple levels.

Main Floor:

Primary suite with king bed, private ensuite bathroom, and laundry.

Guest room with a queen bed and a full bathroom nearby.

Upstairs:
Bunk room with two full beds and three twin beds
Guest room with two twin beds
Large family room with one full bed and three twin beds. *Port-a-crib available.

Basement:
Queen-size air mattress available for two additional guests.

Kitchen & Dining
Fully stocked gourmet kitchen on the main floor.
Additional kitchenette in the basement.
Multiple indoor dining and seating options for group meals or shared time.

Outdoor Areas
Guests may enjoy multiple outdoor spaces, including:
Four patio areas (two balconies and two shaded seating areas).
A half-acre grassy yard.
XL pellet smoker available for guest use.

Yard Use & Outdoor Events (Important)
The standard nightly rate includes indoor use of the home and basement gathering space.

Use of the yard for hosted events or organized outdoor gatherings requires prior approval and an additional yard-use fee.

Outdoor receptions
Large organized outdoor gatherings
Events primarily held outside

Additional On-Site Space

The property includes an on-site 5,ooo sq ft shop building. Additional gathering space on the property may be available by arrangement for approved events, but is not included unless specifically agreed upon in writing.

A Note for Group Hosts

The Shouse is best suited for groups seeking a private, intentional gathering space. Guests planning retreats, workshops, or celebrations are encouraged to message prior to booking so expectations and any additional needs can be clearly aligned.

Other Things To Note

Additional On-Site Dwelling:

There is a separate tiny home on the property, fully fenced and functioning as its own private unit. It is completely independent from the main lodging and gathering spaces and does not share amenities or outdoor areas with guests.

Seasonal Bugs:

The property offers a quiet city-meets-country setting. Like most properties in this type of environment, seasonal insects may be present outdoors during summer and early fall (flies and small beetles). Regular pest control is maintained.
