Craft Bear Cabin - Lakeside Luxury - Pet-friendly & Perfect for Large Families

Spacious 5-bedroom Lakefront House with Fireplace & Private Dock

Warm, inviting space overlooking Moosehead Lake. Begin the day with coffee on the porch watching the sun rise over the lake and end it lakeside, by the fire, enjoying the nightly loon chorus.

Spend summer days floating on the lake, fishing, kayaking, hiking, ATVing on nearby trails...and winter days warming by the fireplace after snowmobiling, skiing, snowshoeing...

Private setting just a mile from downtown.

The space:
Spacious lakeside home, perfect for large families to make lasting memories. The main floor living space is an open-concept kitchen, dining room, and fireside living room. Also on the main level is a full bath and two bedrooms, each with a queen bed. Off the main level, you'll find the lakeside porch with seating and a gas grill.

The master suite makes up the loft above the main living area and is complete with a king bed, full bath, and walk-in closet.

The finished, walk-out basement includes a large family room with a big screen TV, mini-fridge, bar sink, and plenty of comfy seating. Also on the basement level is a bunkroom with 3 sets of bunks and a large closet, a bedroom with a queen bed, a full bathroom, and the laundry room.

Guest access:
If your party consists of more than eight adults, please get in touch with us to confirm that the space can accommodate your entire group.

Guests are welcome to use all the living space in the home, but are asked to refrain from entering the garage and any other locked closets/utility spaces.

Other things to note:
All dock use is at the guest's own risk.
Water shoes are recommended in and around the lake as the rocky shore is slippery.

You're welcome to bring a pet, but be sure to clean up after them to avoid additional cleaning fees.

Beautiful home that comfortably fit our family of 10. The grandkids enjoyed catching crayfish by the shore, climbing the rocks and evening campfires. Dock is sturdy and made getting kids on and off our boat easy and safe. We loved the privacy if this property while still being close to town.

Our stay at Craft Bear Cabin was exceptional. Everything was perfect: the cabin and location. The cabin was well appointed and had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The location was amazing!! You can not beat being right on the water with a dock. We had our 20' boat to explore the lake. It was one of the most relaxing vacations. We will definitely be returning.

The stars here are world class! Seeing and hearing the loons was so amazing! The kids loved swimming and jumping off the dock. The house was big enough and more than accommodating for nine people. The bunk room in the basement was perfect for the kids and they really liked being able to sleep in the same room. The responsiveness from the host was excellent and very timely and thoughtful! Boaters take caution! Be careful when docking your boat if the lakes water is low as you may need to walk your boat to and from the dock to avoid the large rocks as some are 2-4” below the surface of the water. This is no fault of the host, just a consideration if boating.What a wonderful vacation rental!

Brian and I have enjoyed many VRBO stays -epic trips with our four kids, engaging retreats with coworkers, and relaxing getaways with friends.
But it all began over a decade ago when we rented a cabin on Moosehead Lake. We fell in love with the area and eventually purchased our own home on the lake. We've rented out Craft Bear Cabin for seven years but only recently thru VRBO.
We hope it allows many more families to enjoy this magical place!
