While we appreciate the four-star rating, we’re always striving to provide a five-star experience for every guest. If there’s anything we could have done differently to make your visit even better, we’d truly value your feedback."
This was located in a central place for the activities we had planned. The cabin was great! There were more bathrooms than we expected which was amazing for our group of 13!

Great weekend getaway
First family get together at a perfect place. Plenty of room for the 10 adults and 2 children. Very comfortable and the fire pit was terrific place to make s’mores and tell ghost stories.
Was centrally located for diverse interests of three generations that included small grandkids to older empty nesters. Activities included Holiday World, Boating, Cave Tours and Wine tasting. There was plenty of room for the whole family.

Great place for relaxing retreat
We had a get-away for 6 of us and enjoyed spending our time together at the Lodge. There was lots of space for everyone with nice gathering areas, peace and quiet, beautiful surroundings, places to hike and was close to many things to do in the area. The fire pit, swing and outdoor porch provided places for conversation and the stars at night were awesome. Very family friendly place.

We love it when families can come to the lodge can enjoy some verbal conversations with their friends and love ones.
This cabin is the perfect getaway. It’s secluded and has an old time, rustic feel to it. Nothing modern or fancy if you’re looking for that, but I’ve always enjoyed my stay here. The owner provided everything we needed. The cabin isn’t far from a few boat rental places. One is 5 minutes away and the other one is on the other side of the lake, which is about 20 mins away. I think the name of the place was Gilligan’s. Both are easy access. We rented a couple pontoons and enjoyed our day at the lake. The owner did an amazing job communicating with us before our stay. There are also little reminders throughout the cabin of the does/don't s and suggestions. I would highly recommend this place.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
The house was clean and neat upon arrival. The team texted us and emailed with great information. We wanted a quiet place to stay and this was perfect. A nice walking trail across the road led down to Patoka Lake and our grandchildren were able to handle the path easily.
We have spent fall break in the cabin in 2013 and 2014. We love it. The owner is responsive to request, the neighbors are friendly and helpful. We made family memories that will last a lifetime! . The cabin is large enough to support a large crowd, yet it is still cozy and comfortable.
We look forward to our next stay.

We try to continue to improve on things to make the lodge more comfortable and enjoyable. But in most part that is up to our guest to be sure they bring their glasses half full, we have some very pleasant and family loving guest!
Thanks for your review

Wonderful week near Patoka Lake
We just spent 7 days at this cabin with our kids and grandkids and two Boston Terriers, it was a great place with plenty of room for all of us. If you are looking for somewhere where you can enjoy seeing wild life and being in the middle of nature this is your place. It is within 30 - 40 minutes of several different attractions, we took the kids to the beach, to an indoor water park, a cave and on a train ride. Mark, the owner was extremely easy to work with and his manager who lives nearby was also very helpful and friendly. Another great vacation for our family!

It feels so good to know that families are able to come together at our Lodge and enjoy themselves, we have had several guest travel from many states to join with their families at the Lodge. Greatly appreciate those that take time to write a review!
Thanks Mark
Booked this for my sister’s bachelorette weekend. We had a group of 7. Everyone had their own bed and there was still plenty of beds to spare! Lots of seating inside and out. Cute and quiet property. We had a great time and hope to book again in the future. Only downside was no cell signal or wifi. While it did make for a nice unplugged weekend but some of us are moms and it was hard not having contact with the kids back home.
The lodge is very clean. Communication with owner excellent. If you have your own boat, I believe there is a ramp close by. We were renting from the marina and it was a 20 minute drive to get there so be aware. Three of the queen beds were in the garage. Again, we thought it as an adventure, but again, be aware depending on your group. All in all a great place for our party.

" Rustic" is an accurate description .
The pros of this property are that it was clean , the air conditioner worked well to keep house cool, it will hold a lot of people and the upstairs was comfortable. The cons are that it is far from all activities, the kitchen desperately needs remodeling, and the bathroom in the " bunk room" is very rough and small with concrete floor and small shower. If you have a large group that is happy hanging out at the house or perhaps spending time at the lake , this may work for you. But, if you want to spend time at French Lick, West Baden Springs, or the wineries, it is about a 40 min ride.

A wonderful get away from it location!
My Film Crew of Actors, Models along with some family recently stayed at this location. It was a little hard to find the first night, but one of the Women who helped take care of it along with her husband came to find all of us.
This is a very nice place, but be prepared that it is a little off the beaten path. Of course that worked for our needs. Only issue we had really had nothing to do with the niceness of the Lodge itself, but cell phone and WI-FI are out of the question for the most part.
Only one out of our six cell phones worked, but we were told that might happen so no big surprise there.
Just remember this is a fairly remote location even thought there are some neighbors nearby. Overall we loved the place and would recommend it for a great getaway modern civilization.

We are off the beaten path that's for sure, we are on a road that was there before the lake and it runs right into the lake. This makes it great for the kids to ride their bikes do to very little traffic. The cell service is spotty AT&T seems to work best at this time.
Thanks for taking time to write this review.

This property is not as pictured! The space is large and sleeps many people. It is dark and musty smelling. The bathroom door does not close properly on the main floor. The lower level sleeping area smells moldy and is very dark with no electric outlets. The kitchen is not well stocked with supplies. There were caterpillars everywhere inside- on the floor and on the walls. There were also a few roaches. The upper level seemed to be the cleanest area. We did not think any extra sanitary precautions were done through the house due to Covid 19. There was something sticky stuck to the floor in the kitchen. The place was very overpriced for the conditions of the home. I called the property manager 3 times. I left a message twice. He returned my messages but there is no service in the house so I never actually spoke with him. He texted to answer one question but I did not get the message until we left the house. There is not a landline in the house either. We only stayed one night of the two we had booked. No one in the group felt comfortable sleeping with all of the caterpillars again.

Karen, We're sorry to hear that you didn't fully enjoy your stay at this property! We have passed your feedback along to the homeowner, and we would like to share the following:
-We use professional, up to date pictures to accurately reflect the property inside and out
-The owner can confirm they texted you back immediately regarding your concerns but did not hear back from you again until you checked out the next day
-The kitchen is fully stocked for group visits, and the owner was able to help you find the silverware and other kitchen essentials
-The cleaning service was sent to the house, and they only found a few caterpillars outside and under the garage door
Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review!
