Didn't want to go back home
Had a most remarkable time! The Villa is very nice and accommodates big groups well. Villa was very clean. The backyard has such breathtaking views that everyone will want to come out to enjoy the day, we BBQ'd and played spike ball to our satisfaction. Villa also has a nice Wii with some good games that was enjoyable for everyone. We had such an amazing time overall that no one wanted to go home haha. Vlada was the best host we've ever had! Very nice and very accommodating, followed up several times to make sure we had everything necessary for our stay. Definitely looking forward to staying here next year!
Thank you Martin for being such an amazing guest and for taking great care of our home...I would consider it a privilege to host you again.
Warmest regards, Vlada :)
Peace, quiet, lemons and wine wine wine
The property is everything you could ask for from a relaxing, luxury getaway and more. Set amongst the lush green hills of wine country, the spacious villa is furnished to make you feel like royalty. The beds are comfortable, the sheets are good quality and the lemons that grow freely on the property are ripe for the picking. If you're looking for views then this place looks out over vineries and in the distance the sparkling lights of civilisation.
Vlada was a wonderful and amenable host. She was always willing to help and had gone the extra mile with making sure the house was prepared for our large group. Everything was perfectly thought out, easy to find and sought out to ensure comfort. We comfortably slept 30 people one of the nights and although a couple of people brought air mattresses -- for the most part -- Vlada had prepared cots or pull-outs for everyone.
We had a wonderfully relaxing and peaceful time. Wine tasting, beautiful hikes and even boating was easily accessible from the house but when we were home we felt like the world was ours alone. It was the perfect place to have a retreat and I would recommend it to all of my friends.
Thanks Vlada for the wonderful stay!
Thank you so much for taking time to leave your review.
One of the best things about being vacation rental host is having opportunity to meet nice people like yourself.
Thank you for being an amazing guest.
Hope to host you again in future.
Villa de la Vine is absolutely lovely!
Our booking was for a party of 18 in Temecula for our daughter's wedding. I rented the adjacent apartment as well. We arrived on a Thursday afternoon and left Monday morning.
There was plenty of room. Between the 5 bedrooms in the home proper, along with the 2 bedrooms in the apartment (with a pull-out couch in the common room) we had a comfortable place for everyone to sleep. Additionally, there are 4 single cots available for use.
At the last minute, the little boy that was to be the ring bearer couldn't come to the wedding. Our daughter chose to substitute our dog in the wedding. As you can imagine, this was a stressful moment, but Vlada graciously and immediately amended the contract to allow us to bring along our dog.
We cooked and had barbeques in the backyard. There were ample dishes and cooking utensils. Having read the reviews, I brought along paper towels, napkins and plastic silverware just in case. However, there were paper towels and napkins in the pantry.
Apparently, the previous tenants had thrown a New Years party and left more trash than could fit in the bins. However, Vlada arranged for a private company to pick up the overflow and we had plenty of room for our trash.
The property is peaceful and extraordinarily beautiful. One afternoon, we all sat on the picnic benches in the vineyard and watched the sunset. We played pool and watched football. Our bride stayed in the master room and enjoyed a bubble bath in the jacuzzi tub.
Finally, after we got home we realized that we had left a few things in the home and Vlada coordinated with us to pick them up! Fantastic!
We couldn't have enjoyed the villa more. We are very happy to have chosen this property.
Thank you dear Jean for being an amazing guest. I loved hosting you and yours.
Much appreciation for your review...Hope to have opportunity to host you agin in near future.
All the best to you and yours.
New Years Getaway
Overall we had the best stay at this property! Vlada was very easy to work with and she even greeted us at check in and showed us around. She was very accommodating to use, even had the extra cots set up for us since she knew we had a large party. We rented this property for 25 people (12 adults, 13 kids) and we fit comfortably. The house is huge and with the rental of the downstairs apartment, the property was just right. The group I travel with, we do this yearly, and so the only downfall for us was that we are used to every room having it’s own bathroom but 2 of the rooms didn’t and the 2 bedrooms in the apartment had to share as well. Not a huge deal. The home was very clean, spacious, the outside views are gorgeous and the neighbors are friendly. I would recommend this property for sure! Thanks Vlada for opening your home to us!
Simply loved hosing NiKysha, her family and friends. Beautiful people in every way and wonderful guest. Hope to host them again in near future.
Beautiful 3-Bedroom Home
Villa de la Vine is a gorgeous THREE BEDROOM HOME.
In addition to the three bedrooms -- each with their own private bathrooms as described in the listing -- there are two additional rooms with beds in them. Those two additional "bedrooms" do not have closets or anywhere for those guests to shower. Provided your companions aren't sticklers about sharing "private" bathrooms/showers/closets, Villa de la Vine is a fantastic "dormitory style" home with pretty views.
Be sure to read all of the owner's descriptions and past visitor reviews carefully. And please be prepared for the homeowner to send you a long contract after you pay and right before you arrive. I received an 8 page contract hours before I arrived. Had I understood this would happen, I would have booked a different property.
Also, be prepared to learn that she will << try>> to charge you $10/per person for every human who walks inside the house. In our case we were in Temculca to attend my brother's funeral. I am not sure how, but Vlada knew his widow and adult children visited the night before the funeral. What surprised me was that she tried to charge us an additional fee for everyone who stopped by to say hello. We found it disappointing that Vlada tried to profit off of our grief. And it all made us think that those walls somehow talk.
Still Villa de la Vine is a beautiful THREE BEDROOM HOUSE. We only wish we could recommend it more highly.
Thank you for staying at Villa de la Vine and for being our guest.
I am sorry to learn you were not pleased with your stay after we took extra effort to accommodate you and your family during a difficult time in your life. My heart went out to you and yours. I understand loss, I am a widow...To give your family privacy to grieve I offered to move out of property without imposing extra charge on your stay. I was also glad to add an extra guest to your stay without additional charges.
Regarding the contract - every guest is required to sign one, yet you refused to accept our standard terms and sign the contract, which I overlooked due to your special circumstances.
Visiting guests - all guest are required to report visiting guests and pay visiting guest fee of $10 per guest. This help us cover additional charges for water, septic, cleaning and wear and tear of the property. This was explained verbally and it was also stated in our rental agreement. After discussing this with you, it was suggested we do the visiting guest accounting after your stay as you were unsure how many guest would be visiting and when. I agreed with understanding you had a lot to deal with at the time.
As of today you refuse to pay for visiting guests based on grounds your booking should include main house and apartment, despite you paying for main house only.
Dear Regina, I have been in this business for over 7 years. God has blessed us and our home with many wonderful guest. I am a firm believer what is ours will come to us. I gave you 5 star guest rating despite your review. I believe you are a good person and I forgive you for not disclosing family gathering and paying extra fees for it.
Lastly, our listing does offer 7 bedroom for any groups of 18 guest or more (which automatically includes apartment bellow the main house). Your booking (and payment) was for 8 guests only. I would have gladly included the apartment in your booking if you requested.
