About the host
Hosted by Nancy Layton
We moved from Southern California in March, 2022, and almost immediately began what became a 3 year project to convert this 1948 house into multiple units. The Attic apartment is what was the upstairs bedroom and bathroom and really lovely living room that the previous owner had created from what was the attached garage's upper floor storage area. The garage, itself, became our Studio Apartment and the common laundry room. And our daughter lives in the basement apartment we call The Cellar. We live in the main level and are usually just a few steps away inside or outside working on the renovation of the landscaping. We love sharing this lovely older home with strangers who quickly become friends.
Why they chose this property
On the day we first looked at the property considering whether to buy it, neighbors came across the street to introduce themselves. They spoke about how safe and secure the immediate and larger neighborhoods are.
What makes this property unique
We designed and furnished each of the apartments as though we planned to live in them.
