The home was super clean and the view of the lake was unbeatable. The sleeping situation was perfect for our family of 5 and the kitchen had everything we needed. The kayaks were a plus and the proximity to some of the Texas State Parks in the area was convenient. Loved the Christmas decorations! Many thanks

This was just a quick getaway for our family. This little A-frame house was nicely updated inside and outside appeared to be a work in progress. If anyone has mobility handicap, this is NOT the place for you - the terrain is very rocky including the parking areas. The lake was very low so we could not fish from the dock. Yes, there are kayaks, but it was hard to tell where to put them in the water due to the excessive vegetation and number of bricks scattering the shoreline.Because the house faces west, the kitchen/living/eating area got very hot in the afternoons making cooking a challenge. The first floor bedroom had a rug underneath the bed that we realized was wet and just got wetter during our stay. The owner was notified immediately but, we received no response. We had no choice but to wear shoes anytime we were in that room and by the time we left (4 days), it was beginning to smell. The boys found the attic room quite fun at first, but the fun was short lived after having to use a metal attic pull-down ladder to go up and down. I was also wondering how one gets down if the ladder gets closed while someone is up there. We did spend the extra money (5/person) and went to the Hawkins Beach Park which was a lovey area!
