Enjoy time at the lake! Sand Lake is a beautiful 540 acre lake in the heart of the rolling Irish Hills. Our west facing cottage offer amazing sunsets. Relax in the lawn chairs or float in the lake. Private dock is available for a boat. Large deck with patio set and grill offers another relaxing setting. Inside is light and airy with views of the lake from many directions. Grab a book and lounge in the sunroom, or bring your family for a week of fun at the lake. However you choose to enjoy this amazing place, you will love it and want to return.

This house was very clean and family friendly! Sue was great to communicate with and the lake is beautiful with a great sunset view. Close to a lot things to do also.

Our stay couldn't have been more perfect. Sue did a great job in communicating with me regarding a couple questions that I had prior to our stay. The house had everything we could have possibly needed. Sue provided a binder that listed all the details about the property plus lots of restaurant suggests. We took a short drive into Tecumseh on Saturday morning for their farmers market which was a lot of fun. There is one kayak provided at the rental, but we brought two more and had a great time exploring the lake. Although, the next time we go we will look into renting a pontoon or wave runner for some added activities, Bottomline, if you are looking for a relaxing get away in a very clean well-kept lake house check out the Welcoming Lake House on Sand Lake, you won't be disappointed.

This lake house was stunning! It is an amazing lake front property. It is beautifully landscaped and the interior was just as nice. We had plenty of room for our growing family! Our 3 month old granddaughter experienced her first swim in the lake and her first boat ride! (Rob’s Rentals…for our pontoon rental)Everything we could possibly need was available in the cottage except K cups for our morning coffee, but that was very easily picked up at the local grocery store! Firewood was also easy to obtain near the boat launch for the fire pit! The owners were very friendly and easy to communicate with via text or a simple walk next door! Sue and Peter were amazing and definitely show pride in their home and rental with how well they take care of everything! We highly recommend this rental property and we hope to come back next summer!

We enjoyed our time at "Sunset Shore Cottage" on Sand Lake. The host's were very friendly and responsive to any questions. The Cottage sits on prime lakefront real estate with sunset views and swans! Family friendly and immaculate inside. You won't be disappointed with a cottage dock and public boat access close by.

We love the area and Sand Lake. We bought our cottage 15 years ago and decided to build a home to retire in the area. The cottage is next door to our home.
We have been renting for 10 years, word of mouth and return guests. We are new to VRBO

Why they chose this property

Sand Lake is a beautiful glacier nature lake. Although its a public lake, we have limited boats allowed per day. Lots of wildlife to see on and around the lake.

What makes this property unique

Our cottage is updated with conveniences but maintains a cottage feel. The home is extremely clean.
