Inch House is a Georgian Country Mansion dating from 1720 and situated on a working farm with wonderful views of the surrounding Tipperary hills.
The house has been lovingly restored to its former glory by the Egan family who purchased the property in 1985 in a state of near dereliction. Guests will enjoy the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in an Ireland of old and enjoy the luxury surrounding of the gentry of the day (Downton abbey style) in this unique Country House.
Inch House boasts six luxury en-suite bedrooms accommodating up to a maximum of 19 guests together with William Morris Style drawing room, Library-Bar where you can pour your own Guinness or Irish Whiskey, Grand dining room, halls, kitchen, a unique little Oratory to the side of the house and extensive gardens, woodlands and fresh spring lake.
There is a country house kitchen for guests to use if they wish to cater for themselves or we can arrange a private chef, on request, to cater for all or some of your stay at an additional cost. We are also happy to assist you in creating your own bespoke itinerary for your unique trip to Ireland. Given our extensive experience in the hospitality sector we would be delighted to assist in making your holiday extra special, arranging tours, transfers or directing you off the beaten track to the places only locals know for an impromptu Irish music session or finding you a five star culinary experience to remember. We also have a lot of experience in assisting the Irish diaspora in tracing their genealogy and Irish Heritage and are happy to assist in this regard if we can.
John & Nora, the proprietors, live on site in another building. They will be there to welcome guests and will be available for advice and information if needed. We aim to make our guests feel as relaxed as possible

Beautiful manor in a beautiful setting. My family of 11 loved it! Teens enjoyed the sauna and cold tub. The Guinness bar was also a hit! Thank you so much!
We stayed at Inch House for a weekend with a group of friends. It's a very special place. Well appointed, good beds, great atmosphere and charm. Fantastic place to be with friends or family and more than enough to do in the neighbourhood. Our host Nora was lovely and we had one evening with a catered dinner which was also great.
Nora, Cara and Sinead - Amazing, we had a great time, the Inch House was perfect! Beautiful, historical and comfortable. We loved our stay.
Thanks!
Brett
Cara, Sinead and the entire family and staff at The Inch House were very hospitable, patient and kind with our large group of 20. We celebrated my 60th birthday and it truly was a dream in the Irish countryside. Thank you so much, I hope some day we can return.
Property is just how listed. Absolutely wonderful. Being centrally located we were able to see everything we wanted. Nora is a fantastic host.
Thank you for the memories.

Elizabeth it was such a pleasure to host you and your beautiful family. I hope you look back on your trip with fond memories and hope to welcome you again some time.
Inch House was enchanting and peaceful for 12 of us. It's spacious and comfortable. It's an old property with creaks and squeaks. But that's the charm. Small laundry, remote location but it's been a great retreat. Hosts and chef incredibly friendly and helpful!!
My family, friends and I had a lovely stay at Inch house, warming ourselves by the fire, playing games in the snug, and eating in the formal dining-room. Was a very special way to spend a big birthday. The check-in process was very warm and welcoming, with a lovely full-house tour. We also enjoyed the breakfast bacon baps on the second morning!
A beautiful manor home on a working farm with charming owners and neighbors. Our family had a fabulous time at the Inch House. John and Nora were extremely kind and helpful. Joe, Helen, and children were delightful. It was a wonderful stay.

About the host
Hosted by Cara
I am a daughter of John & Nora the proprietors of this 18th century Georgian Mansion. We purchased this property back in 1985 and brought it back from the brink of dereliction and have devoted the last 30+ years lovingly restoring it to its original splendor.
Why they chose this property
When my parents went to purchase this house their real interest was in the farm that came with it, but upon viewing it, instantly fell in love with it as we're sure you will too!
What makes this property unique
It’s completely serene here, such a beautiful place to wake up every morning, completely surrounded by lush greenery everywhere and golden corn in the summer, not to mention the rolling hills in the background. There are many walking trails to take in, a unique oratory adjacent to the house ideal for nuptial blessings/vow renewals. There are fairy trails in our extensive gardens and best of all we are centrally located in Ireland to explore the countryside, we are located in the centre of Ireland and just a 2hr drive to the world famous Cliffs of Moher in the West or a 2hr drive to the vibrant capital Dublin in the East. We're a mere five miles from the 2nd largest stadium in the country, Thurles, the home of Gaelic Athletic Association (hurling & Gaelic football) Only 20 minutes from the must see Rock of Cashel to name but one of our many tourist attractions! We can arrange a private chef to cater for your party’s stay as you might like. We have a wealth of knowledge on the area, and can assist with genealogy traces too. The library bar can be fitted with your own keg of Guinness so you can perfect your pint pouring skills while staying at Inch House.
