Spectacular Oceanfront Home on Private South Shore

The Cherry Hill Beach House is the perfect place to unwind, enjoying all the modern amenities yet away from the hustle and bustle. Our home is tastefully decorated with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, large open concept kitchen, living room, sunroom and finished loft games room above the garage. The house was designed to give every opportunity of ocean views. You will not be able to miss the sights and sounds of crashing surf or admire the colony of seals that have made Apple Cove their home.

With over 200 ft of unspoiled ocean front, this 2300 square foot home is situated on a private 1 1/2 acre lot yet being on the lighthouse route you have complete access to all the area's attractions. Cherry Hill Beach (favoured by the surfers and beach bums alike!) is just a kilometre away. And just a short drive up the road is the Petite Riviere General Store that is fully stocked with everything from fresh breads, meats, pantry items, alcohol, produce, ice-cream and a whole lot more! A little bit further will take you to the Ploughman's Lunch, West Dublin Market, LaHave Bakery as well as Crescent and Rissor's beaches. Don't forget to check out the towns of Lunenburg and Mahone Bay with all their quaint shops, top notch restaurants, beautiful harbour views and home to the Bluenose II. For the nature enthusiast there are excellent hiking trails at Gaff Point.

There are many, many more places to explore in the area but after arriving at this idyllic property you may just want to stay put.

The house boasts a well stocked kitchen, linens, towels, TV, wifi and washer and dryer.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Mosquitos deterred yard time some but the deck was great. Saw seals playing in ocean and visited lots of coastal towns and beaches. Fun stay!

This is the second year we have stayed here. The house is amazing — well equipped, tastefully decorated and in a stunning location. We love being a bit off the beaten track but within easy reach of stunning beaches and other activities. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone wanting an ocean side getaway.

Fantastic vacation location

Lovely house in a beautiful part of the province. The access to the water is fantastic, especially in the evening when the sun is setting....a great place to have a drink and enjoy the tranquility. Highly recommended!!

Beautiful home, immaculate, everything you need for a perfect vacation. Stunning ocean view, pebble and shell collecting, seal watching and tidal pools right in your own backyard. Under 20 minute drive to some of the most spectacular white sand beaches, general stores, sanwich shops, gift stores and canteens. 30 minutes gets you to Mahone Bay, Lunenburg, Liverpool, Bridgewater and Oak Island. Tranquil, quiet, and no traffic anywhere, anytime. Can't wait to return.

Absolutely stunning!

We had a wonderful stay. The house is beautiful, spacious and well equipped - beds are all comfortable. The view of the ocean is amazing. Amazing views in quiet location

One of my favorite VRBO stays yet. The property was thoughtfully outfitted and beautifully decorated. Kitchen had all we needed and the beds were comfortable. Views of the water were amazing. I’ve never washed dishes with such a gorgeous view out the window! Lori gave helpful advice on where to go. LaHave bakery and Craft Co-op are great and the ferry to East LaHave is a fun and free way to get to Lunenberg and points north.

Ultimate Family Getaway

We can't say enough great things about the beauty of this property . We loved watching the ocean waves, birds and the rabbit family from the deck or the front rooms. There was so many spaces to gather to cook and eat, play games or set up a puzzle as well as beautiful quiet spaces to read and relax. All the rooms were so well equipped. Perfect!

Beautiful beach house with spectacular kitchen and ocean views

A superb house curated to embrace the treasures of the South Shore and the spectacular ocean views. Location is near a variety of beaches and lakes with easy car access to LeHave and Lunenberg. If you like to cook and take advantage of wonderful local products, this kitchen is by far the best equipped of any short term rental you are likely to find. And the ocean view out of the kitchen window just enhances the experience! This was a great home base to discover and fall in love with Nova Scotia.

Seaside retreat

We loved everything about this place. The location, though somewhat off the beaten path, was perfect for us. Waking up to the view of the ocean every morning was such a treat. The house is beautiful, tastefully decorated and homey. We felt at home right away. It is also extremely well equipped with everything needed to cook, enjoy the surroundings and relax. The host was extremely helpful and accessible when we needed her, which was not often, as everything was really perfect. We would not hesitate to stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay at your home. Very relaxing and spacious. Visited some local shops and the art gallery. Bought some paintings and enjoyed our conversation with the owners, Our son loved the beach area and found a number of sea glass pieces. Perfect relaxation which we all needed. Txs so much!!!!

A beautiful ocean oasis!

My friends and I were very impressed with this property. There were so many thoughtful details throughout, it was beautifully decorated and had a wonderful, spacious floorplan. The kitchen was very well stocked, we found everything we needed and more. The views were stunning and the large back deck was fabulous. The games room was a fun addition too that we really enjoyed. Honestly, the pictures don't do this place justice. To summarize, we can't wait to return to this very comfortable home away from home!

Incredible house and ocean view

Very relaxing setting for a week long Fall getaway Beautiful and comfortable restored older beach house. The views looking over the ocean and the surf were jaw dropping Great beach for taking short walks The house was on a two lane road and the only noise we had was the sound of the surf The house was decorated with art work from local artists was a nice touch We highly recommend this wonderful property By the way, Lori the owner was consistently checking in with us to see if we needed anything. Tranquility and peace

The property is immaculately presented. It has every home comfort you could wish for. It was the perfect base for exploring the surrounding area. The views of the Atlantic are breathtaking we had a slight problem with downstairs toilet and Lori immediately arranged for a plumber to fix it. He was a great chap, very effective

Nova Scotia Dream Home

If you are looking for a vacation home in South Shores Nova Scotia, look no farther! As soon as we walked through the front door and got a glimpse of our ocean view and the beautiful furnishings and decor, we were overjoyed to call this place home for the week. We had a wonderful time looking for treasures on the rocky beach, exploring the surrounding areas, playing ping-pong in the game room, roasting marshmallows in the bonfire pit and taking time to just relax with a book on the beautiful back deck. I can’t say enough about this beautiful destination, except everything you read in the reviews is true!!

Vacation Oasis

Lori's property was exactly as advertised. It was clean, bright, spacious and well-appointed. The furnishings and decor are fantastic. It was fantastic to step out the back door and hear the ocean each day! Lori was easy to communicate with and very responsive. She shared a lot of tips for places to visit in the area and suggestions for restaurants and shops nearby and in the surrounding towns. We found that the area is somewhat remote but provided us with the quiet getaway we were looking for while also being close enough to larger centres for fun day trips. We had a great, peaceful week enjoying the natural beauty of Nova Scotia!

Destination property

You could describe this property as a destination on its own. Very clean, very comfortable and very well stocked. The house - a perfect blend of old and new - is a renovated shore house right at the water’s edge. Exactly as described , the property has a large backyard, 3 bedrooms (one with 2 singles), large kitchen, ocean-facing deck and bonfire pit. It truly is an elevated Maritime experience. Within an easy drive to Bridgewater and Lunenburg (hint: use the LaHave ferry!). About an hour and a half to Halifax. Communication with the owner was great - easy and welcoming. I truly hope we are able to make this destination a regular event!

Perfect getaway! Exceeds all expectations!!

We needed a change of scenery and choose this property along Nova Scotia’s South Shore. The location is beautiful with the ocean visible from almost every room. The house is extremely well equipped from the kitchen to the games room. Woke up on our first day to the sun rising over the ocean filling the kitchen with light and warmth. What more can you ask for? The house is within walking distance to Cherry Hill beach, which would make it perfect for a summer holiday; but, I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway any time of year. For every Nova Scotian who needs a break from our current situation, this is a great destination. There was plenty of space to find the perfect spot to sit and read or gather together for a board game.

Nova Scotia South Shore Sanctuary

This place is fantastic! My husband and I used this as a base to explore the South Shore of Nova Scotia - including Halifax, Chester, Mahone Bay, Lunenburg and the Acadian Peninsula as well as Kejimkujik National Park. Although this involved drives up to 1 1/2 hours, it was centrally enough located for us to explore all the above comfortably. The house is so fabulous, we even included a day close to home just to enjoy it! Rissers Beach and Crescent Beach are nearby and a must for beach walking. Le Have Bakery is also close by and definitely worth the trip. The house itself was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. There is a large tv room with a wood burning fireplace, a huge dining table with a smaller eat in kitchen table. Open living between kitchen and dining areas. The kitchen has everything you need. There was cleaning supplies available and spices for cooking. A large sunroom, my favorite, has gorgeous views of the ocean and is bright and comfortable to just relax during the day. Laundry is available with a large washer and dryer. A downstairs master bedroom has a queen sized bed. We choose the upstairs bedroom with ocean views, also with a queen sized bed. There is a third bedroom with 2 twin beds. There are 2 full bathrooms. The upstairs bathroom is huge with a shower and enormous spa tub. The downstairs bathroom is also huge but contains the laundry and a shower. While there is a garage, parking is outside on the drive. There is a even a game room in the garage loft. There is a private backyard with a path to the beach. Unbelievable views. While we absolutely loved this place just for us, it would work very well for a family or couples traveling together. The host, Linda, is amazing. Outstanding communication. Very quick with responses. Helpful recommendations and an informative booklet available to us. She was very welcoming and generous. All in all, I can’t recommend this place enough!
