The host was very accommodating due to our flight cancellation. The house was beautiful and well stocked with all that was needed. The host was great at communicating with us, everything was great and exceeded our expectations! Cute neighborhood.

This property suffers from the classic slapdash vacation rental reno. It's well decorated and tasteful, but it's not a quality of reno anyone would do if they planned to live there. I wouldn't have even commented on that except for 2 things: 1 - it's 2 miles from a PATH station, which I wouldn't say is 'near.' We had to waste a lot on Uber as a result.2 - The host said in his listing that neither of the two entry / foyer doors should be locked - only the one to the unit. Which we told all members of our party, but one didn't register it, and locked the door, locking out the guest on the other half for 2 hours. The owner charged us 250 for a locksmith. We felt that was a really unfair response to the sloppy management of his unit. If he had a note above the lock saying "don't lock this door" we wouldn't have locked the freaking door! And he told us we're not even the first tenant that's done this! He was very nice, but honestly other people are suffering for his bad management of the rental.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry your stay ended with this unfortunate situation. To provide context for future guests, the lockout did not result from the property’s condition or location. The issue occurred because one member of your group locked a door that is clearly identified in our check-in instructions as not to be locked, since it provides shared access for another guest. As a result, that guest was locked out at approximately 1:00 a.m. for over two hours. This was not simply an inconvenience—it prevented another paying guest from accessing their accommodations in the middle of the night. The lockout required an emergency locksmith, and the associated fee is disclosed in our house rules and check-in instructions. We continually look for ways to improve the guest experience and have since added additional reminders to help prevent this type of situation. However, guests are still responsible for following the clearly communicated check-in instructions. Regarding the location, the listing accurately identifies the property’s location and allows guests to view it before booking so they can determine whether it meets their transportation needs. It is a 20 minute walk and approximately 1 mile. We appreciate your comments and remain committed to providing a clean, well-maintained property and clear communication to all of our guests.

I was very disappointed with this property. It was listed as a 10/10. The neighborhood was unsafe. The outside door was not locked, and my wife and I never stayed in the property. I reached out to the owner, who did not seem to be concerned about my safety. I have stayed in many VRBO properties and never experienced anything like this. VRBO cannot accept misrepresentation of its brand by owners who put clients' safety at risk and are only interested in making money. This property needs to be reevaluated by VRBO and corrections made. I want to warn potential clients to be aware of safety concerns with properties that are agreed to without the ability to verify them before they show up.

This condo has such potiential. The owner let the previous guest have a late check out and we didn’t get the code until I had to call at 4:17p. I found a dirty kitchen towel that smelled like fabulousa. No dish washer detergent, no hair dryer, no washer and dryer as shown in the listing. The refrigerator had not been wiped out. The floors were FILTHY. The stairs and floor had visible signs of pet hair and many weeks of dust and hair. Master bedroom smelled like dog. Some type of “blanket” in the living room covered in pet hair. Spoke to owner and he was upset with situation. He was “furious”. He quickly sent over dishwasher detergent, paper towels, dish soap and some small bathroom amenities. There were 4 wash clothes, 2 hand towels, and 4 bath towels. For 4 people. No extra blankets. Every time we ran the dishwasher, the circuit breaker popped for the stove/oven. Had my husband not been there I would not have resolved this. After the first day, he no longer responded to my requests (I asked for a blow dryer to be brought over). I get that it was Thanksgiving but he didn’t respond to me on Friday either. Just nothing. The thing that was most upsetting was that it was SO dirty. Thankfully the bedding seemed clean (I would have left otherwise and in hind sight I wish I had). The beds were comfortable and rooms were spacious. There is no controllable heat but there are 4 AC units. This is a remodel that isn’t finished.
