Year Purchased: 1949
About: The proud owner of Casa Cristina is Andrea. Andrea's grandmother purchased the house in 1949 and it has been their family home for many years and it is where Andrea grew up. In 1975, Andrea's father restored the house and the latest restoration has been completed in 2013 by Andrea himself. The apartment is named after Andrea's mother, Cristina.
Why Orvieto TR, Italy:
Andrea is very fond of Casa Cristina because he was born there and spent many happy years of family life in the house. In 2010, the house passed to Andrea and he decided to restore this wonderful historic property in a blend of modern and traditional styles creating a warm and welcoming home.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
The apartment is part of a 500 year old Palazzo and has very interesting origins. It was part of a convent which was linked to the nearby important religious seminary called Seminario Vescovile and was only in the 1900's converted for family living. Underneath the house lie several caves ( Grotte ) which date back thousands of years to Etruscan times.
