That was an amazing short staying (shorter than expected) but the view as soon as you wake up all the green right in front of you was so beautiful and peaceful. Loved the bathroom ! The house in general is very very beautiful and nice quiet - private space. Didn’t get the chance to enjoy a bit more but I’ll do recommend Michael and this property. Excelente communication and no words for the time we spent there. Simply amazing.

We stayed here for a week and it was wonderful. The home is just like the photos, very clean and well-stocked, and it’s just an all-around cool house architecturally. Check-in was very easy with the keypad and Michael was very communicative, making sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend!

Michael was a great host! Check-in was easy and we had everything we needed for our stay in Durham. The house is definitely unique. We enjoyed using the fire pit one night and the kids loved making s’mores. We also left an iPad behind and Michael was kind enough to find it and take it over to my sister’s house for us. We would stay there again!

This is the most unique home we have ever stayed in! Great location for visiting Duke University. The setting is peaceful and quiet with many trees, yet is close to a main road (never heard any traffic) and there are neighbors, but again, not really visible. The area was very conducive for taking walks or runs. The area is very safe with other beautiful homes. The outside back patio area is great for morning coffee. You can also get a great view of the trees in the back from the kitchen table. As for the inside of the home, the AC worked great. The upstairs loft can get warm. A fan is provided. The beds were firm, which is what we prefer. The desk in the master was awesome for my son to set up his laptop. The layout of the house is such that everyone has privacy. The blue bathroom is located near the master bedroom, which could be considered a suite, and is private at one end of the home. The second bathroom location has a door to the 2nd bedroom, as well as a door to the kitchen area as this bathroom can be used by the bedroom or others from the main area. The 2 bedrooms are located at opposite ends of the home. There are many steps to the loft and multiple steps throughout the home to be aware of. Overall, this is one of the best short term rentals we have ever stayed in. It really is a nice and memorable home!

This home is quiet, cozy and the trees are beautiful. It is stocked with basics like soap, garbage bags, and other amenities that are terrifically helpful. The location is convenient to many things. It is a unique layout and interesting to experience. I took off one star because we did not get the access code for the house until we had almost arrived there from out of state with a tired family. This was a glitch according to the host which is being looked into. VRBO customer service had to intervene, which they successfully did, but it was an unfortunate stressor in a holiday week. The house could use some maintenance but it is fine overall and met our needs. Once reached, the host was gracious and apologetic for the initial issues.
