Walk across the street and down 'The Stairs' and you are in downtown Hood River! 'The Stairs' go from downtown Hood River up to the 'The Heights' of Hood River. Locals use 'The Stairs' to work out or get from point A to B without needing to drive. There are also five parks within 5 minutes of the house.
We live in Hood River and chose this home because of its views and that it truly is located downtown. Take a stroll in the morning for coffee at Doppio or have the biggest homemade cinnamon roll or breakfast sandwich at Bette's Restaurant. A taxi is not needed at the end of the night after enjoying your weekend away! Walking distance to so many of our favorite restaurants. Also walking distance to brew pubs such as Full Sail and Double Mountain or The Pines, Cerulean and Springhouse Wineries. Skylight theatre is also steps away and you can enjoy pizza, salads, beer or wine while you watch your movie!
A few minutes from boating, stand-up paddle boarding, kite boarding, wind surfing, and fishing on the Columbia River. 35 miles to Mt Hood Meadows ski resort, 25 miles to family-friendly Cooper Spur Ski Resort, 50 miles to year-round snow at Timberline Lodge and 21 miles to snow parks for tubing.

Our family chose to live in Hood River because of its beauty and love for the outdoors.
Debbi purchased this House in 2013
Why Debbi chose Hood River
We chose this property because of its downtown location and views of the Columbia River and Hood River bridge.

Great house and location
A nice place, just the right size for us (2 adults plus one kid). The location is perfect - river views and a quick walk downtown. We hope to return next year.
Very nice and spacious with close access.
Centrally located comfortable house
We had a lovely wintertime stay in this cute house. The town is walking distance from all the fabulous boutiques, wine tasting, breweries and eateries. We arrived on a very, very cold and snowy day and the house took a little while to warm up, but once we settled in, it was very comfortable. Thank you Debbi for a wonderful time!
Great little house
Lovely property with all the comforts of home. The location was great and we enjoyed the town of Hood River. The recent fires had closed some of the hiking trails we were looking forward to, but we managed to hike to great restaurants, brew pubs and wineries. I highly recommend this property.
Great house and perfect location.
This house was perfect for our weekend in hood river. Easy parking and can walk to downtown in less than 5 minutes!
Nice little house very close to town!
This is a great little 2 bed house, that is very close to town. We enjoyed spending a few days exploring Hood River, and seeing the solar eclipse. The house was a perfect spot for us during our stay - well equipped, clean, quiet, and with great views. The owner was very responsive to our booking request, and check-in/out was very easy. Recommended!
