Get ready to relax in this fabulous cabin in Eureka. This cozy 1-bedroom retreat features a full bed, a living room with a futon and twin bed, and a bathroom with a shower. You'll have everything you need, from a hairdryer to AC and heating. Our place is equipped for both long and short stays to make your stay one to remember.

This cabin features a large deck overlooking the river. Perfect for a read away retreat or grilling for family and friends. Bring your Cornhole boards for some fun in the spacious yard and roast some marshmallows in the fire pit. Wood is available upon request. FISHERMEN, this is a perfect place to stay after a day of fishing! The public boat ramp is located just 7 miles from the cabin!

The simple, kitchen includes a microwave, toaster oven, griddle, and a coffee pot. There is plenty of seating for meals at the dining room table and island with bar stools.

There are so many amazing, local attractions to explore! This is the perfect place for the outdoor enthusiast that enjoys kayaking, fishing, and hiking! Kayaking or tubing from the Pacific Palisades to Brookdale Farms, or the cabin directly, is an awesome 3-hour float experience to enjoy with family and friends. Purina Farms holds many events year-round that are a must-see! Check out Six Flags theme park right down the road and make long lasting memories! Escape even further to the stunningly beautiful Don Robinson State Park to experience sandstone box canyons, shelter caves, cliffs, glades, and upland/bottomland forests.

**Disclaimers: There is an active construction site across the street from the cabin during regular weekday, business hours. Water levels at this location are volatile depending on accumulating rain. If the levels rise, the river is not always accessible or safe.

We had a wonderful time! The place was so comfortable and had everything we needed. I will be back to this home again. Thank you for allowing my dog as it is so hard to find places these days that allow animals. We were able to get a raft at the last minute at Brookdales farm. We had a wonderful stay. Thank you for bringing the wood for us sorry we did not use it as I thought we would.

This is a cute cabin right on a river- we loved it. There were 3 of us & it was a great. Communication was great. I booked last minute & needed to cancel 1 night outside of the cancellation window. Host was gracious & refunded the extra night. Note: It’s in a VERY secluded spot on a private access road - some may love it, some may find it unnerving. I’ve seen too many scary movies, so I loved it during the day, but hated it at night. Lol.A few tips: * The daybed is an air mattress. Not a fan of these, especially for a VRBO unless clearly stated (I didn’t recall seeing it). The mattress in the bedroom was comfortable though.* If you can, bring a set of queen sheets & bedding (incl. pillowcases) for the futon. There’s extra bedding in a trunk, but it was all mixed matched pieces.* There’s a camper on the property just steps from the front door. A property caretaker lives there. I wasn’t aware of this and it was an uncomfortable surprise. He isn’t supposed to be there when guests are, but he was there at times. The property mgr was surprised by this & very apologetic. It’s so secluded, this can be uncomfortable or feel more secure.* The cabin is elevated about 8’ off the ground with stairs (FYI not handicap access.). None of the windows locked, which I didn’t like. I put hangers in as lock bars- didn’t fit right but better than nothing. No blinds on windows facing river & boats were night fishing both nights. We could see them so they could definitely see us!

First, thank you for stopping in! A little bit about me....my family and I have enjoyed making memories on the river for years. Our time is spent on all outdoor things such as kayaking, fishing, swimming, hiking and farming, through all seasons.

Why they chose this property

We love this area because it is so close to so many attractions in the Eureka area but also just off the path to find quiet time next to the water.

What makes this property unique

This cabin is unique because it is an open concept design with lots of natural light coming in the large windows around the majority of the house. The convenient location on the river provides a perfect opportunity to throw your rafts or kayaks in and float down river or easily paddle upriver. There is also a public river access a few miles upriver that make it convenient for boats to launch and then tie up at the property for easy access for all day fun!
